No offense Sirosis (and all), but I do have to say that this game really seems to be dying. I decided to stick it out after the last exodus of folks to see if we could get it moving faster, but it's still going very slow.

I'd like to continue playing, but if we don't get the turns moving faster soon, I'm going to end up pulling out.

It definately isn't moving as fast as I would like either. My hope was for around a turn a day. It didn't help that I went away for a week just as we got 4 new players.

We need some enthusiasm about this game which I realize is difficult when you don't see the turn for a week.

In order to track the turn better please post that you sent it in this thread. If we don't hear from Tom Red within a couple days lets skip his turn and get this moving. Is that ok with everyone?

We definately need same kind of rule as we have on ASNG PBEM : a 36 hour rule - meaning if someone does not play his/hers turn within 36 hours, that person will be skipped by admin.

It seems that otherwise we will play one turn a month (if were lucky) or wait for Tom Red to play his turn until year 2005.

I've been playing the turns as I get them - but not been posting on this site -sorry.
I think it's best if I bow out - as I've lost the confidence of hte thread. What do you need me to do ? Shall I keep playing till you find a replacement ?

I'm happy to adopt a 36 hour rule. I almost always post when I send a turn (the exception is the odd time that the site is too busy to get on).

I don't think you've lost the confidence Tom Red. If you wish to continue playing please do. If you don't then let me know so I can look for a replacement unless you have someone in mind.

The 36 hour rule sounds like a great idea. Unless it is known you will be away for some reason I think it is a sound rule.

I think it is time for players of this game to reevaluate if they want to keep playing. There was already a mass exodus so I assumed that everyone is into this game. If you are still interested stick around otherwise state you would like to leave. I would like to get a group of players that can take/send their turns expeditiously. I realize things do come up which delays the turns but try to let everyone know if you're going to be gone.

I'm not sure why the turns aren't going faster since we are still in the early stages it shouldn't take very long to take a turn and send it off.

I started the yahoo group for this game since there have been problems in tracking down the turn. Using yahoo would allow for all the files to be in one place and automatically email when a turn is uploaded. I think everyone is registered except Conqueror. I would like to eventually migrate to the yahoo group and I think we'll see the game move faster. That is the hope anyway.

The turn seems to be with redstar1 according to this thread.

This is F*cked up. I cannot access to the Yahoo groups and whoever sent the save to me, sent the wrong turn, it opens up the Ottomans turn, not mine.
