Who do you think set up the German, Italian etc Governements after WW2. The British and Americans.
No Troll, It bring them into an institution setup by the
British.

As for your other propaganda lies. This is from the American Library of Congress. It is a pretty damning
account of Greek activitives on Cyprus. As I began
posting only because you were unjustly smearing the
British, i will only quote what the evil British yoke did
to the poor islanders.

"British colonial administration had brought some benefits to the island. Money had gone into modernization projects. The economy, stagnant under the Ottomans, had improved, and trade increased. Financial reforms eventually broke the hold money lenders had over many small farmers. An honest and efficient civil service was put in place. New schools were built for the education of Cypriot children. Where only one hospital had existed during the Ottoman era, several were built by the British. Locusts were eradicated, and after World War II malaria was eliminated. A new system of roads brought formerly isolated villages into easy reach of the island's main cities and towns. A reforestation program to cover the colony's denuded hills and mountains was begun. Still, there was much poverty, industry was almost nonexistent, most manufactures were imported from Britain."

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Cyprus = dirt poor under british colonial rule (of course even poorer under ottoman rule - doh!)

flourished when it was freed.

brits were colonial scum, hanged a 15 year old, did not give independance when all cypriotes wanted, turned turks against greeks whenindependance was being won.

you can go your own sweet way now, you're kicked off the island of aphrodite.

It is entering the european family, free, rich and independant. (the Greek Cypriote part)

your colonialism spirit is pathetic though, of that you can be sure.

But that was not my generation. (nor was it a democracy )Nor was the brutality of the turkish invasion the generation of the now turkish cypriote young people.

Nor were the colonial british scum the generation of today's brits.

Greek Cypriotes and Turkish Cypriotes want peace and prosperity.

Greeks have it and are giving it to the turks but Denktas and its fascist dont let them join.

Need more independent neutral quotes? Hungry for
more humble pie?

The whole region was dirt poor, Greece, Turkey, the
Balkans, Cyprus was no differient.

Once again the 15 year old was hanged because he was
a criminal, accused, convicted and hung for his crimes. I'm sure his intended victims were glad to see him get
EXACTLY what he deserved. Cut the bleeding heart crap.

The Turks "turned" after the British left and the greeks
once again broke their agreements.

Your arguments are empty. Find something CREDITABLE
and neutral to back up your accussations, cause otherwise its just the ravings of a small and ignorant
mind.

Bull sh!t.

Cyprus was kept down and was poor under brit colonial rule.
Once freed from the brit yoke it flourished to become the richest of all new EU members. (and faster and better than the Greeks good work brothers )

find some facts for that.

or does your colonial scum mind find that impossible for your angel brits?

what you did was to divide an island that only wanted its freedom from the british yoke. an island of 700.000 greek cypriotes and 80.000 turkish cypriotes in a sea of 70 million savage turks next door and the british empire which hanged 15 year olds to defend its interests

It is all there for anyone who wants to do a search.
I dont lose time on DLs and Trolls to search for links, I just have fun with them while providing information.

Free Independent Rich Cyprus enters the EU having freed itself from the british and turkish yoke and you can enter to whatever hole you came out from.

You are the victim of propaganda (which cant even get across) or a DL. Eitherway, you lose. Haha.

Because it would set a dangerous precedant.. that borders in europe can be changed with war. For same reason there cant be two or three states in Bosnia (although factually there are) and Kosovo has to remain in Serbia.

Boundaries in Europe can and was changed in wars many times. Last time they were majorly changed in WW2 though...

However, why can't there be 3 states in Bosnia? What has it to do with wars? Do you mean there also shouldn't have been 9 new states in European part of former Soviet Union also? Or there shouldn't have been 5 states instead of former Yugoslavia (there were also wars in Yugoslavia, thus you may consider that a change of boundaries by wars...)

After WWII UN was set up. One of the... no, the most important principle of modern international politics is that borders can not be changed with war. If they could there would be no end to chaos.

This is enforced whenever possible. Sometimes it is not possible (see Israel)

No.. borders didnt change in the baltic nor in Yugoslavia. All borders are at least as old as WWII.

What do you mean borders didn't change in Yugoslavia? One country split into 5 countries (just as Cyprus would be splitted into 2 countries). Or do you mean that borders were re-created as they were before Yugoslavia was formed? Well, before that there was no Macedonia at all, Serbia was different, etc. Thus new borders were set up, not old re-created. BTW, if you say old borders can be re-created and that is not equal to setting up new borders, then do you mean if Lithuania would take Berlarus and part of Ukraine that wouldn't be border change by war because Lithuanian Great Duchy once had these territories?

Azazel, it was so because the days of true imperialism ended (the same as days of tribalism and feudalism ended). Current, modern imperialism, doesn't requires to occupy country to actually rule it... It is counted that you can almost control a country if you control at least a 10% of required resources. Of course, you can always install a puppet government...

you still didn't answer the question: why does the fact that the superpowers agreed on it make it right? I hate that pretentious and most importantly fake bullshit, because everyone knows that realpolitik is the real game? what other reasons could, say, Russia have to support the palestinians? Maybe it would be better to say.

No forced border changes for NATO members.

All the changes have been Warsaw pact, Chezkslovia split, USSR split or Yugoslavia split. All non Nato.

Got spare money?

Turkey ( a NATO member) invaded and captured a part of another country.

This is a no-no and cannot pass.

The reason they were not kicked out of the place was because of the geostrategic importance of Turkey to the "west". Normally they should have been kicked out.

Just like Iraq invading Kuwait.

The illegality of Turkey's invasion in Cyprus is why the occupied part is not recognized by anyone except... Turkey.

Yeah, and it's split. It has Greece (NATO member) trying to grab it, and Turkey (NATO member) preventing it.

I think Nato is the only thing preventing the shooting from starting, bad news when 2 members of your alliance start fighting.

Thats bullsh!t. of course. made by a DL.

Greece had a dictatorship which was backed by the US/UK.

Brits turned Turks agansit Greeks and had their fair share of what happened when Cypriotes asked for independance from the british yoke.

Also UK was a guaranteeing power of the sovereignity of Cyprus and did nothing to protect the island.

And of course cypriotes had voted 97,5% in favor of independance.

Greece didnt try to grab it as a democracy and Turkey ivaded and condemned turkish cypritoes to fascism and utter poverty.

And turkish cypritoes want the prosperity Greek cypriotes have offered to their side.
