How DARE you tell ME that the majority of the Russian people are "bad persons". How DARE you tell me that most if not all of the Russian people are NOT generous and generally are not good people. Because I highly DOUBT you know all that many Russians at all. Edit: In fact, unless you have visited ALL of Russia you would know NOTHING about the Russian people. I shall personally tell you that the Russian people are VERY generous and very open minded unlike you whom closes your mind to EVERYTHING.

Oh and by the way, the statement you have just made is a racist comment. And..I can't put into words how surprised I am to see you say it. Honestly sonic, I thought even YOU were more open minded than that.

(his actions against Chechnya,

Ok, a lot of it is justified, though I do agree that it does go into excessive quite often.

I can't defend it because I don't agree with it. However, many Americans support Bush whom has allowed mass-arrests and is gearing for a war that could potentially kill people in the TENS of THOUSANDS.

Does that mean the American people are vicious warmongering dogs?

quote:
Also, communist regime would never happened if not support from Russian people

Oh come on. Having lost many wars, serving under an effective dictatorship....Can you BLAME them for wanting someone else? If in Lithuania you had to do back-breaking work for little or NOTHING, and your government was doing nothing to help you (and even opressing you!) would you not call for a new government? Oh wait, you did didn't you?

And don't forget that most Russians completly HATE stalin because yeah the Russian people were under a dictatorship too. It wasn't only Lithuanians, sorry to tell you. The Germans supported Hitler. Does that mean there isn't a single good German on Earth?

Anyway, I would just like to re-iterate my disappointment in you Sonic. I didn't think that even YOU are capable of this kind of closed-minded racism. However, you've just proven me wrong. Maybe I should take it that most Lithuanians are racist.... Nah. I'll take it on a case by case basis.

Well, it is a fact that if Lenin wouldn't have supporters at all there would probably be no Soviet Union... With kicking out the government it is like with getting elected - although you don't need to have 51% of supporters anymore, you still have to have supporters, otherwise revolution will never work (I am not talking about revolutions backed by foreign powers now).

As for goodness of Russian people, I've just said that most of ones I've met and know quite well to say werether they are bad or not are not good (in my opinion). I did not said whole nation was bad. I BTW said this more or less to counter your statement that "Russians are good". Neither goodness, neither badness, cannot be proved, thus it shouldn't be up for discution.

Did I anywhere BTW said GW Bush is good? I don't agree with most of his politics...

And that's also when the brits turned turks against greeks. And Makarios mistake was not tryign to get the turkish cyp. uner his embrace too. But the "games" of uk also did have a huge role in dividing the island. were there peaceful turksih cypr. and not stirred by the brits (and turks).

And lets not forget that were it not for the arms supremacy of turkey (your games and our US backed DICTATORSHIP's grave mistakes) , the tukish cypr. would be a minority. 80.000 people amongst 700.000 people enjoying democracy and prosperity like the greek cypr. do.

And I repeat when the Cypriotes became self governing their status changed from utterly poor to the richest new EU member. Through their own work and even though they lost 70% of their natural resources after the invasion which was illegal and for which there is also a huge US mainy and secondly Uk complicity.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

and something else you also dont know wraped up in your relic colonial romantic misinformation.

turkey does care about turkish cypr. (or does just a little - alitte they don care abour democracy or prosperity for them) they discovered them later on when the dict. wanted the enosis. what it does care about was not having a "greek knife in his tender underbelly" as it has said about cyprus.

they feared us as we feared them but we are just 10 mil and they are 70.

hoprefully all this will change and well all be eating icecreams.

but do yourself a favor and read up on the turkish cypriote movement of the '60s in the univeristy of instanbul.

uk is only a minor shade in all of this, no matter how big it is in your mind DL. it has done grave errours what it cared abuot was its bases and didnt mind sh!tting all over the place.

the dict. did grave grae mistakes too not only in strategy (doh! they were dumb dictators) and in human righst but also in trusting NATO a bit too much and not preparing for anything.

and then there is also kissinger.

unfortunately the illegal status quo was in the interest of some people (including greek. cypr. and greeks) but that time has passed.

And it is time to reunite in democracy and propserity.

So thank Kranidiotis and spare me your colonial paternalistic crap.

you got blown out of the sky because of your own fault. people who want to live free are never at fault for wanting it.

if someone is too monidmensinal, too simplistic and very ill and poorly informed it is you.

BTW, I'm not English, DL, I just don't like it when a bunch of bastards do some really vile acts and then try
and blame someone else for "forcing" them to do it.

Go rap yourself in Greece's Flag, the blood stains and **** on it caused by Greek rabble rousing on cyprus, no surprise that the of Greek terrorists "fighting for freedom" on Cyprus were NOT cyproits but mainland Greeks.

The reason cyprus is screwed up is because of Greece.
not Britain, not Turkey, not the US. The reason Greece
screwed them over, is cause Greece itself is screwed up.

_Cyprys, british colony utterly poor
brits hanging 15 year old to maintain their basis
_Cyprus asked for independance, london refused.
_Freedom fighting started after explicit request from Makarios
_"Mistakes" were made yes by the US backed junta
_Cyprus liberated, gays left

_yet constitution forced upon cyprus was a crime in itself.

how come a minority if 80.000 amoint 700.000 people could have veto rights? were it ot for Turkey being next door?

Now facts are:

Free Cyprys is prosperpus the richest of all new EU countries are and democratic.

Occupied cyprus (the turkish part) is dirt poor and living under a dictatorship

you do the math.

oh sure Greece has made mistakes but to have to fight off two "empires" of multimilion savages (brits and turks) I'd say it did pretty good.

The only remaining issue is to reclaim one CYpurs.

And there is nothing finer on the eyes than seeing the turkis cypriotes themselves crying out for it

and for good reason.

Paranoia, People standing on public land taking pictures as part of a tour, set up and run by Greek operators.
Real dangerous spies, You think your neighbours don't know what you got? You think a Turk or Bulgaian couldn't remember.

Even the english were laughing at the dorkiness of the "planespotters"

taking pics is forbitten in military sights and for good reason since there are still dogfights between greek and turkish jets.

and the whole world was glad they got kicked in the ass.
proper procedures were followed as said

the only ones who maybe got offended were maybe some old school brits who have forgotten that they are no longer an empire to force its will on smaller countries?

hmm maybe.

but paranoia?
certaintly not.

Try getting your facts right.

_Cyprys, british colony utterly poor

Bullshit, it had nothing when the UK got it, their was
nothing there but a few fisherman and some marginal
farmers. It was without santation, crime and diease
were rampant and their was periodic famine. They built the roads, ports, hospitals brought cyprus out to the
middle ages.

_Cyprus asked for independance, london refused.

Greek Terrorists asked the UN for independance. They
aren't going the hand over to a bunch of thugs.

_Freedom fighting started after explicit request from Makarios

Makarios didn't get want he wanted so a campaign of
terror bombing begins.

_"Mistakes" were made yes by the US backed junta

Try the Greek Government, There you go again blaming
other people for your vile acts.

_Cyprus liberated, gays left

The UK dumps the island as a thankless drain of money,
and leaves the Greeks to fight among themselves.

_yet constitution forced upon cyprus was a crime in itself.

The Turk minority peacefully lobbied London and got reckonzied, The Greeks signed and immeidiatley broke their agreement and sent armed parties on a killing spree in N. Cyprus as soon as the British were gone.
That's when and why the Turks invaded. They didn't
want an "ethic cleansing" of their people by the Greeks.

The one who got it in the midle ages was the ottoman empire like it had done greece. when under brit rule it was utterly poor and kept under brit control for the gays' naval bases. when it got its freedom and self governance it exploded in economic activity.

Oh and the constituti0n was indeed a crime but did get signed since there wasnt any other choice there was it? 70 million turkish savages and a savage brit aempire all upon 700.000 greek cypr asking for freedom.

of course it was signed. and "broken". for the good of the island. an 80.000 minority on a 780.000 total population having veto rights?
thats unheard of, if it wasnt for cyprus living next door to 70 million strong turkey and so far from greece.

besides the other fault of makarios (not getting turk cyrp. in his embrace - but that was hard with brit and turks stirring them up) one more fault of the dictatorship was trusting NATO too much and not be prepared for anything.

but that is history.

free rich cyprus is the place all turksih cypr. impoverished and in suffering under a brutal dictatorship want to be.

and thats just fine with the greek cypr.

even turkey is asking the turk cypr. dictator to resign and let the island be reunified. not to count the turkish cupr. victims themselves crying out in desperation for it.

that is the final victory of the fight for freedom, democracy, peace and prosperity against all odds.
and you can stuff it

The Honourable choices are to sign or not to sign. Simple
enough even for you to understand. When you sign and
treacherously break your promises nobody, for good reason ever believes you again, it's the path a coward
and a liar takes.

A lot of countries have deals with their minorities, Canada for one, 24 million english vs 6 million french.
They have veto rights.

Of course their "turkish savages" aren't they? They and the British "savages" havn't learned to lie and cheat like the "civilized" Greeks.

Who isn't a savage to you? Oh beacon of civilization tell

Of course it is not the only choice.

You go for what you can and you try to change it.

A constitution that doesnt allow a country to function democratically is deficiant and must be changed.

The honourable thing to do was for the Brits to have given independance when Cypriotes asked for it and a free constituion to go with it.

quote:
A lot of countries have deals with their minorities

The difference is that they didnt have a 70 million strong Turkey which impeded true democratic reforms in another country simply because it could and the army wanted it.

And pray tell where is the honour in hanging 15 year olds (UK) and supporting dictatorships(US/UK)?

Or having a military regime? (Turkey)?

Or do you simply chose not to answer to those?
