yes I really do hope to get map making soon. The war will take a while though. How many cities can they possibley have? it will take some time to roll out units I'd imagine.

We may have time to get one or two cities accross the water.

Regarding my earlier letter to nathan, I rechecked the save this morning - after he sent me a PM that Sir Ralph was sure he accepted writing. And yes - I screwed up.

Sorry guys. They had accepted writing - I should have accepted that deal first, then put our two techs on the table. But I wanted to make sure I didn't forget the two techs, and as soon as they went on the table, it is a new deal and their acceptance gets rset to not accepted. Sigh ...

Here was my note to nathan.

Hi nathan - I rechecked the save this morning - and Sir Ralph was right. He had accepted. I think what happened is that in my rush to make sure I did not forget to give the two techs to GS, that I put them on the table first, which of course creates a new deal which both have to accept again. And that was why I had assumed that Sir Ralph had not accepted. I should've accepted writing first then put the others on the table. Ah well - live and learn.

Would be nice to contact them first - if they have bee-lined for map making AND don't have contact with other civs (Darekill of Neu D confirmed this in a PM I will post in a sec) then they will be needing a lot of the techs that the rest of the world has. First one in could get quite a deal.

It also makes sense as to why they went mapmaking first. To get off their island and contact folks.

Heris Neu D's response to my attempt to peddle mysticism. Looks like our myst is being traded for their math - through GoW. They made good commision in brokerage fees on that deal.

They get Maths from us and they told us that they would give us mysticism as soon as they have it

We have no contact to Legoland and we are about to research construction wich will benefit all of us i guess.

The war should go well they have not that strong of a resistance somehow they belived that GoW would do that job for them. to bad that GoW goes with those who hold on to Arrangements and not to the one's who break them....

We have started research on Philosophy. ETA is 14 turns which is not good. However, we are due for a major expansion shortly, and expect that we can improve our research capacity in the near future. We will keep you posted.

Other than that - well we jsut sit here on the shore watching the fireworks from across the sea. And - no - we can't really see anything other than the bright lights and the PR flying around.

BTW - we still have HB Riding. Let us know what you work out with GoW and how you/we want to handle this.

what expansion? we still have to build the settlers first . What is the ETA on those? I think you mentioned 4 turns for the Voice. Is that correct?

Yes - I was referring to two new cities in the next while. The Voice is 4 and Miller Town 5. 3 turns or so to get to the sites and 1 to set up. It should boost research in the latter half of this tech.

Hi Darekill - I gather the campaign against Lux goes well.

I accepted the sending of Mysticism to Neu D for free. I do not do this to upset either your or our relationship with GoW, who we consider friends and partners as well. It was simply a matter good will on our part. And yes - I chuckle too - GoW did a good job of broker in this deal. They get the two techs without even having researched either. Ah well - that is life.

We are undertaking philosophy research at this time.

Please stay in touch - particularly as the world gets smaller all the time.
