eh, I'll keep sitting on the fence then. War has its place, and your guidelines seem to restrict the availability of using war as a foriegn policy option. Not to mention your party was initially created to oppose the War Party, too much partisan behavior for my taste.

H Tower, the vocation of our party is not to merely oppose the War Party, I believe we are also defending a way of playing the game and particularly this DG game. We sincerely believe waging a war now is not the best way to win and that on the contrary it will lead our fledgling nation to its ruin.

If we does not concentrate our resources on building the improvments that will increase our science rate and our economy we will be distanced by our rival.

The benefit of peace is exponential, all the resources spent on increasing our infrastructures will bring more and more science as turns are played. When we will have settled a real power basis it will be time to build the army that will allow us to defend our territory and attack the nations that are threatening us. We still believe we should not engage in a war with a vastly superior opponent that is considering us as friendly and we also consider peace has not been given a real chance as there are other possibilities to expand and grow.

Some issues are currently being discussed in the forum and the APP should adopt an official position.

What to research next?
I think we should opt for the quickest road to Monarchy (Drama), researching Slavery now would be ridiculous as we have researched writing instead in order to reach Monarchy as soon as possible.

To attack or not to attack?
Now that a war is waged as the citizens voted for it should we discuss the strategical options available or should we ignored the thread?

Though we were against this course, now that it has been decided we should be involved (on some level) in the tactical decision making. Whenever any policy decisions are made without any APP input it is a victory for the WP.

I think our research should go either (1)drama(2)jurisprudence or vice versa. If we go for drama 1st we will have the ability to use entertainers which will be important as our size grows, we will incur happiness problems both from distance, and conquest distress.

The strongest argument for jurisprudence is that we may lose the option to choose it if we go for drama 1st.

I really think we should all vote together on this, its just good politics.

In my own opinion we should research Drama and ask to stop the war as soon as a viable part of the ennemy territory has been conquered. In the current situation, Graz or/and Wels should also be attacked as Pressburg and H Town will be difficult to defend if we don't.

One of the best way to have an influence over the decisions is also to be part of the Turn Chats.

greetings comrades, sorry i haven't been active for a while. rl, you know. on the research question: there are good point for everything except shipbuilding. though i would like jurisprudence, so we could build the chichen itza, drama is fine as well to me, and if thats, what the people (s party) want, so let it be. of course we should still take influence in the tactical discussions, though i'm not sure, if we can get a clear party standpoint here. in my opinion, there is only one solution, to this bad war situation: win the war! we should try to take wels and graz asap, pressburg in my opinion should be abandoned, its too close to h-town, and each will hamper the others growth in future. that 1 or 2 (if we build a settler and then abandon the town, not to loose much pop) extra settlers could be used to settle in the south, so with those 2 new towns, wels and graz we would have 8 cities, one or two more to conquer, and then we will need monarchy.

btw, there should be new elections for our prime secretary (so far me). i might have messep up the time a bit (sorry for that, why does this month have so few days? surprises me again every year ) i would suggest, nominations end on monday 3rd noon gmt, elections exactly one week later. this isn't according to the rule for the stateelections, but it should give every member the chance to participate both in nomination and election in weekend as well as in the week.

Before voting, we have decided to discuss together about the important decisions our citizens have to take through the polls as we believe a collective give us more power over the issue of a vote.
