Comrade Tribune,
You certainly seem to be the club jack***. There is no denying the truth, in the American past our nation was built on the blood of others, that is no different than any other nation. Hell, your nation has been around thousand of years longer than the US and you inbreds still will choose genocide over peace. The whole damn Balkan area would fit inside the US's midwest and you still can't get along with your neighbors. You really have no right to judge us or anybody else for that matter.
Know this, no where in history can there be peace unless you have an absolute victor and loser, that is the only way peace can be initiated. The Indians in the US were a lot like the Palestinians. As the "white" folk moved in on the territory of the American Indians, the American Indians killed women and children up and along the frontier thinking it would push back the intruders. Just like Israel receiving a piece of the Palestine territory after the war. Look at the similarities, Palestines killing women and children in cowardly acts. The American Indians wound up annihilated and so will the Palestinians. Should have the Americans lost their land to the US, NO, we had no right to take it from them then but it happened. Should Palestine have their own country, of coarse, but it will not happen, they will be assimilated into the Israel and it will become one nation with different peoples, like the US.
Has America committed atrocities in her history, of coarse, do we now try to limit or banish it, of coarse. If not, why would we create smart bombs, just to blow expenses, no, we want to limit civilian causalties if at all possible. Are the smart bombs perfect, hell no, but better than carpet bombing.
So it make me and guys like Mes angry when you try to compare the 12 year old boy in Iraq with no arm from chemical agents from Saddam to the US bombing of Iraq as NO difference then you have absolutely no grip of reality of of what's right or wrong.
And..........you and a majority of your countrymen think yourselves as and enemy of the united states and you act on those beliefs, maybe me and a few of my countrymen will consider you a threat to the United STates and turn those BIG guns of ours towards your pissant country, is that enviting to you.

Why worry?
People are being killed all the time, I'm sure you will be perfectly safe!
Afterall, it's not like the US is curently hunting people who threaten to harm it....er,...ah........ |
Still, small fry like "Comrade Tribune" here are most likely going to be low priority unless he actually does something besides rant on a web board.
In other words, the US is going to concentrate on real threats. Not posers pompously proclaiming their oh-so-pious oh-pay-attention-to-me-or-I-will-taunt-you-a-second-time ventings of spleen. All to display his/her "civilized" demeanor, of course.

Azazel, what I say has probably already entered your mind.
Politics is about pragmatism. Not ideals. If you think it isnt you're dead.
Im sorry to say it but it is like that, you know it anyway.
So its not about what should be but about what can be.
Pals are under occupation and REGARDLESS of terrorist attacks they have a right to their own nation if they want to.
In this repsect ideals and pragmatism coincide because once they do they have absolutely no justification in the world for terror bombings which will lessen.
SOmeday Israel will give it a try and there will be peace.
Someday when "external" factors do not get in the way, like they have done to so many other countries

im sry Mr. Floyd, but the real world cannot conform to your very idealistic morals, as much as you would want them too (it would be nice, i must say). They could only function in a world of sunshine, rainbows, and lollypops, and where everyone plays fair. Unfortunately, in our world, most everybody does not play fair, and so your moral system goes out the window right then and there if one wants to survive. After a superficial code of international laws and courtesies, world politics boils down to the level of the jungle.
I hope you can understand that the American way of life that I enjoy (and what you probably enjoy as well) could not work if the US wasnt active on the international sceen. Unfortunately for you, this proactivity creates conflict that is obviously adverse to your beliefs. Your beliefs are your own, your moral code is yours. Everyone has there own. It is pointless to argue stuff 'immoral' on geopolitical topics because morals are so relative from person to peron.

Said one of the ringleaders (forgot the name), who was a former marine in the Gulf War: "Perhaps now they [USA, UK] will reconsider their position on whether to attack Iraq or not"....
I heard this on television and the newsnet, and I gotta say this totally disgusts me. Those traitors. I hope they get bombed, personally. At the very least they should never be allowed to return to U.S. soil, or British soil. How dare they!
Saddam is a menace to his people, his neighbors, to the world. How dare these people, who have enjoyed the liberty and freedom of democracy, go out and defend this lunatic? A man who has not disarmed according to a treaty that he signed when he lost the war 10 years ago, a man who has encouraged terrorism through various resources (such as funding terrorist organizations, building weapons for sale on black market, ordering the bombing of U.S. embassies), a man who has no regard for human life at all, even his own people.... this is disgusting.
I'm very proud that I will be going to Iraq once U.S. and British operations start. I am honored to serve my country and do my part to liberate a people who have no food, money, and barely shelter, not to mention no freedom whatsoever.

Are you suggesting the SC is always right?

Just because other people behave immorally is no justification for our own immoral behavior.

You see nothing wrong with this attitude that might makes right?

The US should be very active internationally, supporting absolute free trade and the like. We just shouldn't force this on anyone.

You don't believe in ANY absolutes? So you believe that murder might not always be wrong, depending on the person? Wait, this attitude also justifies the Holocaust, right?
