as in, when they decided that coming down out of the trees was a good idea.

and in all this time, all we have to show for it is little green pieces of paper to make us "happy".

I'll be contrarian and say that the fall of Rome wasn't a bad thing. The major problems with Western Europe following the end of the empire were well on their way before its collapse (serfdom, end of trade, etc.).

Lots of Christian trolls, 6 unique suggestions eliminating the Crusades and the Inquisitions that were misuses of religious authority.

That being the case, I'll say the inventor of the suction abortion machine making abortions cheaper, quicker and more efficient.

Combine all the death in wars of the 20th century, and you'll have a number lower than the number of worldwide abortions in the last 50 years.

you dont understand... everything boils down to the nookie.

Men acquire nice cars, nice house etc.. for what? If a man can f--k a woman in a cardboard box he wouldnt need a house. (forgot where the credit to quote should goto..)

My conclusion. Dildo leaves many women content without a good lovin' from the males. Competition increases. Need for material good increases. Reasons for war increases. Need for crime increases.

Next time you look at a dildo... think long and hard about it... hehe long and hard.... (god, im sounding so immature )

Obi Wan,
How were the Inquisition or Crusades trolls? I'm as spiritual a person as you'll find on these boards and I recognize that they were justified in being considered some of the worst events ever.

Read my post again Monkspider. I exclude the Crusades and the Inquisition as Christian trolls because they were misuses of religious authority. Your target is not Christianity per se, but the actions of some believers in the past.

I agree, both were terrible and caused great harms, but can Christianity be faulted for what it does not teach?

You go on and on and on in thread after thread about evil white male Southerners and their bastardization of the tenth amendment, in essence making "states rights"="codeword for oppression", and you don't even bring that up? Are you feeling ok, Mr. Fun?

I'm going to say the invention of slavery, by some unknown bastard in the deep recesses of history.

You'd be shocked to know that I really am not anti-Southern.
You would also be shocked to know that not all states' rights arguments are based on preserving white supremacy.

Now, in terms of total, global human history from prehistory to contemporary era -- the Southern states is only one region among countless other regions in the world that has based its economy on slavery. So no, in the scheme of global, human history in its entirety, this did not have a tantamount effect.

I also see that no one cared to respond to my earlier response to the trolls against religions.

Creation of christianity.

- It has killed outrageous amounts of people (look for words "crusades", "inquisition" and "columbus")
- It has slowed sciense down so much. Without it humankind could have achieved this level of technology a few hundred years ago.

Um -- Catholic monasteries, especially Irish monks, were partly responsible for the preservation of future generational knowledge of the ancient world.

And the Catholic religion, while exploitative in the feudal system, did provide some base of stability in the early Middle Ages until better systems would emerge centuries later.

Isn't it the case that if it weren't for Catholic monks, we would probably have far less knowledge of the ancient world that we have, today?

If the Thousand Year Reich had lasted a thousand years, would you be praising their public library system for saving a few books from the Nazi book burners? You have to take a holistic view of the whole thing.

Monasteries themselves destroyed far more literature than they ever preseved while encouraging the best and brightest to waste their lives on self-flagellation and mindless prayer.
