	Help Wanted: Ministers Tired of ads?

Your Consuls are currently looking for bright, energetic people to fill the following posts.

Your Consuls are looking for reliable individuals to take charge in these 4 ministries and help us organise and guide the nation. Wages and bonuses negotiable. Apply in person in this thread.


In addition, we are looking for potential candidates to serve as the Head of the Intelligence Office of Apolyton. Going beyond the provision of the public with information about the current state of the game, the Intelligence Office is more for analysts who think it's fun to look for patterns where no sane individual would ever dream of looking for patterns. These intrepid people seek to cajole data into yielding useful information. The really interesting thing about this post is that it doesn't actually exist, at least as far as anyone will ever officially admit.

I will apply as the Minister of Defense.

I sometimes get trapped into RL during the working week, however, and would like to have an alternate or Co-Minister.

(ehm, or at least a decent job in that ministery)

Ok, warfare is the kinda thing I do best when playing MP.
Operating with a strong army causes fear into many human players, and those who do not fear our army and provokes us, can be dealt with swiftly. So lets buy those mercenaries after some rexing, and we can show our neigbours a 10+ units 'stack-o-doom' before they get the swordsmen. It's a secure victory.

I want to apply for the position at the Intelligence Office of Apolyton.

If I am choosen for that position I would do exactly what is told in the thread which, by the way, I created ; Start with a few, well defined, reports and as the time goes try to figure new ones that can be useful. I would also try to encourage people in Apolyton to colaborate with the Office aporting information that they think can be useful.

I see that the Foreign Minister has the power to appoint Ambassadors.

This might be little premature, but I'd like to put myself forward to be Ambassador to the CivGaming.net team (CGN).

I've got 250+ posts there so I'd be a recognisable face to them and I'd be more than happy to fulfill any duties in this position. I'd like to think that I've picked up a few ideas on Things To Do and Things To Avoid from following the diplomacy in the PTWDemoGame.

I would be quite interested in running the Foreign Ministry. Its the very least you can do if you're going to be tearing apart my poor Constitutional document

Oh, and note that the Consuls have the power to choose they appoint by any means they see fit. So, if they wanted to, they could probably hold elections for contested posts

I am very interested in serving as the Foreign Minister for our team. I have a good deal of prior experience at building a staff of highly qualified people and managing the very large task this job would require.

Unlike the SMC or DM jobs, this job cannot be done by one person sucessfully (unless he has absolutely no life). I would need a VERY ACTIVE ambassador to each team, minimum, and several other people around to help with the information analysis unless our Intelligence Office is very active and up to date with information.

I have a good deal of experience in this area of the game and I'd like to put that experience to use.

Just a side-note: the right to appoint ambassadors belongs to the yet to be chosen Minister of Foreign Affairs. So, anyone interested in becoming an ambassador, drop a note here, that's ok, but be aware that it will only be the new Minister to handle your selection and appointment.

I'd be willing to server under who-ever is appointed Foreign Minister.

I don't think I'll necessarily have time to be Foreign Minister myself while serving in the SPDG and other pursuits, but I can almost certainly help with the duties of the office.

I, personally, would like to be apart of the staff of the Intelligence Office and show my support of Oliverfa as the head of this organization (Oliverfa, we have GOT to come up with a better name!)

My support for the Minister of Defence goes to any of the big hitters in the Strat forum.

And, once again, my support for the DM, goes to Mr.Spreadsheet, E_T (we may have our differences, but he is great at this job).

Perhaps it is best that I was not voted to the consulate... Indeed, administration is not what I feel is my greatest strength. When I originally signed up for the C3DG, I did not plan on becoming President... I did so to try to help set up the game and bring some semblance of order to things. The reason I joined the DG was to fight... what I feel is my strongest area. It is time I stepped forward for what I came to do, and what I truly want to do... Minister of Defense.

The constitution states that three persons called Consuls are responsible for appointing ministers. Ok, this is acceptable...

The silly little thing about the constitution is that it also states that the minister are responsible for appointing other officials too!
Thus the Foreign Minister is responsible for appointing ambassadors, and so on.


If I should be so lucky to be appointed Minister of Defence by the Consuls, I am not gonna appoint anyone on the basis of my sole decision! I will do that in conjuncion with the Consuls, the representatives of our team. Four persons can agree and it's more fair to everyone.


It's a stupid thing having one single person appointing others alone. Fight the law!
