While that would indeed be humorous for us, I'm not keen to do anything to gloat over GCA. They have done us little wrong and our main reason for attacking them is, simply put, that we want to win the game.

We can be good sports about winning, even if they insist on being bad sports about losing.

Could we have someone (say GF) test this? I thought the bug was only in a direct link...I know that to get to the main forum page the bug only works with a direct link (at least I know that I've accidentally entered the wrong forumid and been unable to enter other ptwdg forums that way)

Suggestions? I need a map that shows where Meiertopia is/was. Also, I need ideas for how to geographically explain the jump from france and europe to arabia; if turkey and france had started in opposite positions it would have been perfect for cartographers like me .

IIRC, Meiertopia is the last outreaching finger of GCA border in the west (excepting the small blob in Egypt). It's just NW of where you put the "Spain" label.

Yes, we can.

Just list the exact names that you want to replace those units with and I will attempt to do it next turn. If I am unable to play the turn, maybe nye or MrWIA can do it.

Example: "Replace 'Medeival Infantry c' with 'Bambi the Medeival Infantry'"

Nice name! So soft and gentle... GCA won't know what hit them.

IMHO, our names should be distinctive, short, and not too genre-particular.

I propose the following names for any unit currently named after a letter (in no particular order):

Bambi (see above)
Soren (in honour of the Firaxis team)
Kermit (in honour of the Grenouille team)
Robin (named after Kermit's nephew)
Igor (named after the world's cycling champion)
Donald (named after the world's most popular duck)
Jean-Luc (named after a certain star ship captain)
Waiter /
Taxi (these names are so nice to yell on the street -- I know someone who gave her two cats these names)

Replace them as you see fit.

You could name anything for me "Wedge Donovan".

Because my user name is weird so dont use that. But Im a SeaBee and Wedge Donovan is the Leading Character in "The Fighting SeaBees". Since we are construction guys first, a worker would probably be most appropriate.

First of all I LOVE your maps! You have obviously taken a lot of time and effort to do them. And they have been immensly helpful to me trying to do catch up and figure what is going on in this titanic struggle for dominance.

A couple of suggestions:

1. I suggest Making the color of water a very light blue yet something that contrasts with our core color. Maybe a blueish Green but a very light shade. Why? Because I want to print your map out and use the sea areas to make notes on. Its kind of hard right now with the dark blue.

2. Can you add a Color key somewhere near a margin that indicates this color equals this CIV?

ie: Blue = Carthage = Apoly or just

Blue = Apoly


These are just suggestions from a Newbies eyes and may also assist the more casual visitor to our Demo game.

Thanks for the praise and suggestions! I don't think I'll change the water color but the next version (which I hope to do after we play the next turn) will include a key among other things (moving the France label, adding the new CGN city, removing Algalord). Also, I hope to eventually stop being so lazy and create a whole-world geographic map.
