My theory is that both play a factor, both genetics, and environment. A little from column A and a little from column B. People are influenced by where they grow up, and people can inherit a prediliction towards homosexuality. Abstain? How can you abstain? Human beings should deserve to live and not be pressured by religious elements in society to not enjoy love. Some will claim.. oh the relationship I have is wrong.. gah.. I don't care what these people think. I am not abstaining from having this relationship.

Obiwan, are you saying that there is a conscious choice to become gay? The wording here makes it sound like that, and I've never heard that being true in any situation.

Crikey, havent checked this thread out for a while, I see Fez and done well

I dont like the critism 'Family values' recieves, people seem to think it's outdated and therefore wrong. There is nothing wrong with wanting a traditional family (Mother,Father and a couple of kids) that eat thier meals together at the table ect....
I think good family values can be very beneficial to the people, especially the kids. This doesnt have to be enforced on others.

But couldn't it also be said that a perfectly straight individual makes the choice to act on feelings towards the opposite sex? The only difference is that such a choice is regarded as a "normal" one, and so no thought is given to it.
