	Monkey Moves - Volume 1 Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

Thought we should start a thread to report on each move. Whoever plays should post it here.

Beta played 4000bc - the restart.

Settled where we were; moved worker to wheat; started researching BW; slider to 90% science (27turns).

And oh yes, I renamed our capitol "Zoo".

I was also thinking of Jungle, Home of The Apes, etc etc.

Maybe we should have a discussion thread, toss a little poo around, and see what we come up with.

Errr.. I didn't even know we had a channel. I can't recall seeing anything on it - then again - I may have been into the monkey moonshine.

Does anyone know if we have a channel? Or just one big tree we all hang out in?

If you haven't registered you nick, here is how to do it. Credits go to Eli, from Vox.

Step 1 :
Connect to the Apolyton server.

Step 2 :
type :

Try to keep the nickname as similar to your Apolyton username as possible, to avoid confusion.

Step 3 :
Register your username :

The channel access is restricted only to registered members whose names I add to the access list. So when you register them, let me know and i'll add you to the access list.

Step 4 :

NOTE:

When you connect to the server again you'll have to authorize your nickname:

/msg NickServ IDENTIFY password

Example :
/msg NickServ IDENTIFY pwblablapw

(you might need to do step 2 first)

After you do this you will be able to join the channel(step 4).

I received the email only this morning, probably due to an inbox sizewise borderline. I saw the first "turn" sent by Octavian but I had not received the other one. I'm kind of everloaded with work right now, but it will clear up in a week...

OK - sounds good. I agree that playing as fast as possible for now is key. But I don't want you or H_E to think I am 'scooping' the moves on you, but for now when there is little to do, I guess a "first come first served" sort of policy would work best.

I agree with you Beta, first come, first serve, as our moves are not crucial right now. There's no need to discuss during days and days before to decide to move our warrior!

we are going to mine the wheat next not irrigate correct?

damn that lux is so sweet. we wont have to worry about temple building for awhile.

oh and that forest on lux should go in about 10-20 turns IMO. but since thats a deforestation issue we should start a poll reagrding if we wanna evict some locals out of the elephant populated forest regions.

If we can kick some locals, we can snatch some ivories by building roads for our baboon poachers to hunt and it will make the primates back home very happy when they have shiny bones to play with. *Beats tree with RARE ivory beating stick in excitement*

I figured we should road the Elephants - it will make it easier for them to walk in the jungle. I also want it to be known that we will not be harvesting ivory. We will derive our luxury from them by meeting them down at the watering hole and getting showers from them - no not that way - with their trunks, you bunch of apes. Just because we are monkeys doesn't mean we can't pay some attention to personal hygiene.

Then we will improve another shielded tile.

Warrior north. Some good looking city sites.

Now - back to the trees for a snooze.

I would take a risk, scout NE, and the next warrior fortifies.

I vote NE. We will have the third warrior out in two turns after that, so the risk is minimal.

I concur... Sending our second warrior NE is the thing to do here. I can't think what can possibly happen during the 2-3 turns our warrior is being built...

Kon and H_E. I have an e-mail glitch (a corrupted file of some sort) which is blocking my incoming e0mail. Do not count on me for the next turn. Hopefully I will get some time this evening to sort out the problem.
