Put an end to popups!

3550BC played...

Our first warrior went north, discovering coast and another island. Our second warrior has been produced and sent to the hills. Our worker finished roading the elephants.

Another warrior up in 3. Primate Central grows in 9.

I think we should go for a settler after the next warrior.

Here is the screenshot:

I agree - settler. The terrain looks just fine. Could use more junngle and forest. The pieces we do have will be sacred.

btw - e-mail issues resolved. I had a file corrupted with the sobig virus sitting on the ISP server that had to be axed. Norton kept picking it up as it came in - but would shut down all incoming mail. This monkey is back in action - and jumps for joy on his keyboard.

Tired of ads?

In 2 or 3 turns, I will start a thread about city placement and development of monkeydom. For now, I think we have nice land, grassland, hills and coast. Throw a couple of rivers there and we'll be in buisness...

3500 BC Full PM-box? Change here!

Trun 3500 BC has been played.

Warriors moved according to arrows.
Worker moved on the bonus grassland.
Research set to 100%. BW in 7 turns instead of 9. We can do this because of the extra commerce generated by the road on the elephants.

Another warrior up in 2.

3450 BC turn played.

http://apolyton.net/upload/files/Beta/Monkey-3450bc.JPG

More land revealed. Are we on an island?

We should come back and check the point of land on the west caost. You can see another landmass over there - and if that is an isthmus - it could be critical to settle it first.

Warrior out next turn. NOTE THAT I HAVE MOVED THE CITIZEN TO THE LAKE TILE FROM THE IVORY. We only needed two shields and would be wasting 2 otherwise. This gets us one more food and one more gold. Depending on the next build - it should be adjusted.

BW in 6.

All is well in the land of the primates.

Got spare money?

If we find out that we are on an island, I suggest that we beeline for map making as soon as BW is finished, for evident reasons...

I therefore suggest our next research to be writing.

Panzer would not be so unfair as to put us on an island.

The westen point looks like it might be a isthmus. So is the suggestion to continue the 2nd warrior north via the mountain range, and send our 1st warrior back to the "choke point" ? Can we risk the 1st warrior to take 1 more tile north ? It looks like it is coast to me, but I would like to make sure.

Also, I think our 3rd warrior could climb the mountain 6,3 from our capital. He should be able to scramble back if anyone approaches our borders.

Basically, Warrior 1 went 1 tile north and discovered that it's not taht much of an island after all... We see some more land going north. Warrior 2 went north on the hill and warrior 3 (just produced) went 6 of our capital.

Settler set to build. Ready in 8. Growth in 6. That's about it...

Sorry, I don't have any screenshot now, as I'm not at home...

panzer could have put everyone in an island with importance of naval superiority as main theme of the game! or at least thats what I would have done.

So we are still safe to move the southern warrior either SE, S, or both.

He can scramble back, if anyone appears on our borders.

If we do have a ismith to the east, then we risk leaving our capital undefended if we move the souther warrior any further away.

I would not move him any further than 3 tiles away.

Plus... he will have to pull double duty and protect 2 cities when we get our settler.

Where whould we lay our first city?

I think we should go 4,4,7 of Primate Central, eventually sharing the wheat tile.

Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

I assume to begin a road to our new city location.
Next pop growth is in 10 turns, so we dont need any other urgent improvements just yet.

I really hate settling on Bonus grassland.
We did it with the capital, and I would prefer not to do it again.

The location suggested would normally be my preference.

How about the little knob sticking out just south of the worker.. we could make it a temporary military camp.

Or what about inland (1 tile "9") from the suggested location ?

I really dont know... perhaps just build on the bonus grassland. It is the best location, and if we need a harbour, the west coast is better than the east coast.

Put an end to popups!

3150bc played, and sent to LL

Two northern warriors moved north
Both will pop the goodies huts next turn

Southern Warrior moved back on the capital
He has to stay on the road network, in order to protect 2 cities.

No change to science slider available.
Bronze Working Next turn

Settler produced NEXT TURN
Pop increase in 9 turns

Worker set to road (With only 1 warrior, we have to have a road network)

Decisions to be made... where does our settler go ??
