Did I get my numbers right? I'll double-check to make sure. I just turned on Sverige 2 and I think it's really cool you guys have a sign language channel for the night. It's a very considerate thing to do.

Also, I learned foreigners could actually vote in this election if they lived in Sweden. That's a good idea. I think.

Yeah, maybe the name should be "General Swedish referendum chat" or something like that. If a moderator sees this he can change it as he pleases. I didn't really think it through that much, I just didn't want to post Euro stuff in the Anna Lindh thread.

The first reports shows that 75% votes no after 3 out of almost 6000 districs have been counted. Doesn't say much though. The small districts are often in the northern inland parts with a small and hostile population.

I'm not refering to any actual counting of votes as much as the SVT-vallokalsundersökning and those are usually pretty accurate. Even though I'm not jumping to any conclusions just yet.

Yeah, I know. However, exit polls are not that accurate as it's an inferior method. But one the other hand, the population of 7000 is quite good.

I've just heard the figure of 51.5% No and 46.5% Yes, too. Another figure was told on Euronews, but it was corrected immediately as being false.

Pros:
Better integration in the European market, easier to export your competitive goods in the European market, convenience when you travel in Europe, furtherment of the European construction.

Cons:
Easier to have your uncompetitive products be overran, make huge economic concessions so that France and Germany may waste them, basically be forced to follow the stinking EU economic model, and be forced to drop the great Swedish economic model.

Did you Swedes see the Copenhagen interview with Thøger Seidenfaden? He said there's a good chance there won't be a domino effect where the next Danish referendum will be influenced by the Swedish decision. He presented a possibility of the Danes actually voting the other way because we yearn to be special!

The "Yes" is slowly gaining on "No" by every update. It's like the classical election night. The screen starts out as bright red and the issue at hand is how blue it can turn before all the votes have been counted.
