Ok folks, the game is started. I've sent the first turn to Mathemagician.

As for the starting positions ... there are no bad starting positions. The map is random generated, but I've tweaked the starting positions, so everyone has approximately the same amount of river tiles and goods near the starting position and enough room to expand before meeting the other civs.

Have fun!

And don't forget to send a cc to your moderator .

As for the free tech: You'll be warned (with an alert box) at the beginning of the last turn, where choosing the free tech is possible. This turn will have "...(Turn 4)" in the file name - CtP starts turn counting with zero.

Is it allowable to choose various techs and see how well various objects build?

It was a temptation of mine last turn but I thought I should ask first.
