Use ships to sail three tiles to the Swordsmen's one tile. Aussies attack from the south eastern peninsula area that the Vikings will be expanding into while the Russians attack from the south west area over the mountains and from the sea. Vikings have no where to run to... no where to hide.

After turn 102 sent.

Their was much celebrating and rejoicing in Moscow as the Russians built the first known wonder of the world The Hanging Gardens. These gardens will ensure the productivity of the Russian peoples as they can relax and sun-bathe in the beautiful gardens on the weekends and have a quick and relaxing stroll or even small picnic lunch during the weeks to break-up their rather dull lives of working the fields surrounding Moscow. The merchants will also be especially pleased with a new planned marketplace that will be strategically placed to take advantage of the increased traffic flow expected from visitors to the new gardens from the surrounding lands near and far.

The Russians agree that it is once again time to share maps with their neighbors and future allies the Aussies. The well laid plans for the combined invasions of the northern viking held territories are proceding with the loading of the first catapult on the Galley headed north along the coastline. Horsemen are also beginning to appear from various cities around the Russian empire also heading north east towards the point on the northern coastline where the mountains, jungles, and plains meet just south of the northern border territories. The actual invasions will be several years in the future but the preparations are well underway for a swift and decisive victory in the north. Many young soldiers and old generals will get to test their training in actual combat soon enough.

The Warrior and Scout on the western island will have to wait for another naval vessel to be built and sailed to them before being able to cross the channel to the west. The coastline of the land mass to the west can be seen from where they are enjoying their new found freedom from duties on the western islands isolation from the continent and cities.

We should be able to get close to the invasion time for the vikings I would think.

Also since we are trading partners I suggest we begin researching different avenues once we reach the middle ages soon. Then trade the advances to get a quick upper leg on the AIs.

Returned he offer of maps and tech with the addition of some nice furs to keep the Aussie Swordsmen warm when crossing the mountains on their journey north.

They also make nice presents for the many Aussie women that frequent the Russian ambassador's chambers.

After turn 104 sent.

Both catapults are loaded aboard the Galley sailing along the northern coastline and a pair of Horsemen are following along the shoreline not to far behind the catapults.

The Viking scout has slipped through the blocking units and is heading southwestward towards the jungles in the mountains in the north central area of the continent.

Once the Russians actually enter the next age they will receive an free tech advance becasue of their scientific trait. What that will be can be random but usually it is either Monotheism or Fuedalsim. Researching code of laws currently.

On the trade exchanges.

The horses were bought by a large lump sum of gold in addition to 2 gold per turn along with swapped maps.

Even.

The tech a few turns ago was traded for 20 turns of Furs and again along with a swap of maps.

Also even.

I do not see any descrepancy in relative trading values here.

Neighbors that are about to go to War with a third party should not be squabbling so over minor trade negotiations. Especially considering their cooperative history of agreements over past border territories.

Perhaps the new leadership in the Aussies government is not as cooperative as the Russians were lead to believe by the past actions of other administrations.
