How about desert oasis, deep river canyon, or jungle mountain?

I have been following this thread, but when you said

I didn't realize you were asking only about underwater terrains.

Can your fourway trench intersection tiles be placed in a group to make a whole super deep area?

I always liked the forests from CtP1, you could even make them into a new terrain, they look kinda like "open woodland", you might have to change the shade of green on the ground though. The jungle looks more open too.

As it is fairly long ago that I played CTP, could you enlighten me which ones you refer to?

You should be able to pick out the jungle and just be able to see all the forest.

Just had a look at.
Looks good, but shows again one thing I didn't like in CIV3:
It is hard to spot the grid in use, meaning it is easy to misclick or move units to the wrong spot.

Yeah, cause we were all wondering why you mentioned it, and anyway do i look like a pimp? dont answer.
Its not hard to change terrains, its getting totally new ones to work with existing ones that would be monumental. I tried to convert to civ3 ones once but the beach tiles worked in a totally different way so i had to create new images (not just converting), i wouldnt even attempt to redo all the beach tiles again. Some of those snoopy mountains (not in the screenshot) are superb, but theres no point in any of it if it doesnt fit in right with the rest.
