Mikes could really help to get a celebrating Republic going. All I heard from the AI reports were battles over who would build the Great Wall. Of course, the loser could switch to something more critical...
BTW, is this a SpaceShip or Conquest game?

200* Examining the Map: 13 Cities, in Monarchy, halfway to Mono (425). Copper is on the way from Girba to Carthage; Dye is going offshore from Caralis to Ruscurru. The Western exploring trireme needs a captain. The eastern trirems has nary a captain in sight. Exploring is a priority. Goals this turnset: Mono, MC, gov: republic; gather caravans for Cope's; explore E and W to find at least one AI. I fear the repeating Hides are going to have to be folded into MC.
RB caravan in Rusicade. Press ENTER
220 Rusicade: Silk. Leptis Parva: Silk. Oea (14) founded. A diplomat is engaged as captain for ths Western Trireme. A Caravan moves towards the Eastern trireme, in case we find somebody. Caralis Dye to Ruscurru (d, 24) RB 3rd row in Cartenna.
240 Malaca: Silk; Utica: Silk. Caravan captains Eastern Trireme. RB 2nd row in Leptis Magna
260 Using Find City, Germans are near (188, 22) and Babylonians are pretty close to our East at (471,25). Looks like our Caravan-captained vessel will reach it soon!
280* Monotheism=>Republic. Girba Copper to Carthage (d, 140). Carthage hides to Ruscurru (d, 92) Hut: Nomads on a Western Island - they move to the coast. Buy a Library in Carthage, rush a settler in Leptis Magna, RB some rows.
300 Romans almost done with GW. Carthage: Library. Hut: Nomads on a far western swamp island - sail with Trireme. Adjust Sliders to 60-30-10 to delay Republic until 360 Oedo year. The money will be helpful.
320 Veii builds GW. Germans and Spanish switch to Oracle. Chinese abandon all wonders. Panormus: Hides. Tingis (15) founded at end of River System. Find Whale for Western Nomad. Rush MP in Carthage
340 Ruscurru: Settlers. Caralis: Silk. Carthage: Market. Western Station (17) founded. Far West (18) founded. Pour caravans int MC in Carthage.
360* Girba: Settlers. Rusicade: Slk Malaca: Coal. Carthage: Mike's Chapel. Set Science high again.
380 Barbs arise near Carthago. Rep=>Construction. Instant revolt: Republic. Panormus Hides to Carthage: (d, 56) (I wanted the trade route for Panormus to grow) Babs found!!
Sliders are set for WLTCD growth in many cities. That can still be adjusted, and if my successor wishes to re-revolt to Monarchy, that is possible too. The Eastern Trireme can be unloaded this turn if desired - I leave the conversation with the Babylonians to my successor.

Did you test for the "optimal" road connection? We could use a few better roads around the main island.

My computer has been successfully repaired but...
I got a message from Klaus Engel telling that my computer was probably infected by a worm called Netsky IIRC.
My son tells me he thinks he has cured my computer today. Nothing strange occured since then. Please let me know if anything odd happens again.

Well my football team won 4-0 away ...
... but I guess that's not the sort of odd happening that you're interested in.

Do you aprove of my 'new look' log?
|
I like it - looks a bit like mine. I don't do slider settings, but I can see the value in Succession Games. You calculating the beakers yourself, or using SlowThinkers utility?
Suggestion: add a "*" next to the Oedo turns. Got the idea from someone at CFC.
