Hopefully the changes will make combat more balanced, as well as allowing some semblance of tactics in fleet design. It could be worth going all Lasers, for example, if you know your opponent is short on Torpedoes, and using a close formation and range, take the torpedo hits, shrug off the fighters and hope your lasers hurt him more than his hurt you.

I just now realized that the rules about ship size and base requirements mean that I can spend more than 6 BP per turn.

Working on revising orders...

Edit: Yes, this means that the stockpiling wasn't a strategy.

Maybe we could start a poll on how many bases he builds this turn. That could keep us entertained until he gets his revised orders in for this turn.

I guess 6. Even then, he will still have excess stock to put into a big pile.
