I like the Dune movie. Sure its nowhere near as good as the book, but it is still pretty damn cool. The miniseries was very faithful though - which meant it confused the hell out of Mrs J.

I like the Dune movie too. I agree it's very cool, but I also agree people who haven't read the book can have difficulties understanding what is going on in the film.

You said you liked treachery Jamski. But what about a double treachery? And your change of rules which introduced two orders of battle (defensive and offensive) very much reduced the chances of successful treacheries in the future. None of this what I pulled off would have been possible had your rules about two orders of battle stood from the beginning.

I was in Math League back in highschool. Just one of many officially-sanctioned ways to ditch school.

What's with all this "unprovoked aggression" nonsense? It'd be a dull game if nobody did anything provocative. Nice for the citizens of your bases, and a great pension for your spaceship pilots, agreed, but a rubbish game. As I demonstrated in the first turn (as did Smiley), without any kind of aggression then you'd all have the maximum number of bases and too many ships to do anything with. Someone needs to take charge of this game, and take it to the rest.
