But what resulted in the English allowing more protestant reforms? What was different in Germany as compared to Italy? It was a difference in culture which broke Europe up the way it was. Northern Germanic peoples were much more independant due to their history and thus more embracing of Protestantism.

Well, I really don't know you Albert so I can't agree to any such thing ( ), however you are correct in assuming there are random variables in life that can dramatically change things in an instant. However, that's why you leave the 'hood and move to the 'burbs - to lessen the chance of certain random variables (like crime).

That is not the same thing as repatration and you know it. I want to see Italy, but I don't want to live there. There are lots of African-Americans who want to travel in Africa and see it too. Doesn't mean they want to live there.
