DD, I think that you should go see this movie. I don't expect it to change your opinions or your stances, but I think that you would come away with a better understanding of what Moore was trying to do. He is the voice of dissent, something that has been missing from mainstream America for 3 1/2 years. The simple fact that he's using one of the most popular mediums to attack a sitting president should be interesting enough to warrant a viewing.

That, plus you'll have a better capable argument after actually viewing something you're arguing against

Why's that Sava, because I'm not prostrating myself over an opiniated movie made by someone who has no qualms about depicting a lopsided account of the past 4 years?

Someone who withheld prison footage months before anyone knew there was a problem?

Someone who goes on the MTV music awards, right in the spot for the LOTR Peter Jackson award, and says to all the 13 year olds "Hey kids, come see my movie, it's great!".

Michael Moore is not a documentarian he is a film maker who wants to sell tickets. Propaganda is the correct word for it.

It's hard for Moore to make propaganda, since he isn't in power, last time I checked.


I will see the movie tonight. As I said in another thread, all the right-wing attacks on Moore will fasll flat, simply becuase the only people they will conivnce are those predisposed to not seeing the movie anyway. If anyone is preaching to the choir, its the opponents of Moore. I asked ealier, if anyone who was willing to see the movie was turned back by the criticism- as of yet I have not seen anyone say so. So who cares if people who were never willing to see the movie in the firt place won;t see the movie? It does not matter.

IN the world, either you are drivng the agenda, or you are reacting to it. Right now, in this debate, Moore is in the driving seat cause all the attackers are doing is reacting. And I would bet many of them have not seen the movie yet- and are attacking Moore simply for being Moore and the subject matter.
