I propose replying with something like this (seeing that Ouro mentioned he is out on weekends).

To be frank with you too, we may not be clear, but Lordship of Progress is nearing discovery of Industrial Automation and it's secrets will be completed soon. Our initial proposal of trade spore launcher was to provide Angels with a unit that can easily explore xenofungus, which would be a great advantage and speed extraction of our troops- but it seems that you may not see it that way. However, if Angels would have such sight to gift Industrial Automation to Gaian Union in next planetcycle, Gaian Union would be able to redirect all its efforts into a technology that would benefit mutually to both of us. Lorship of Progress is very interested in researching secrets of the Humane Genome next, and if Angels are willing to gift secrets of Industrial Automation to us, we will return the favour to our Angel friends by teaching them secrets of humane genome. Further more, our Lordship of Progress suggests a research pact, in which both of our respective research departments will try to coordinate their efforts for more efficient ways of progress on this barren world.


Any thoughts? Someone should check if we can research Biogenetics next. Also, italics is optional part of message.

It was with some anticipation that a response was awaited. Although not as forthcoming as we hoped, it shows progress.

Are we to assume that the Gaian Union has no techs to offer at this time for the exchange of Industrial Automation? You can easily check this by offering all your tech in the diplomatic screen to us and see if anything else then comlinks and worldmap shows up. This said just in case you were not aware of the feature.

Also, the Gaian Union appearantly prefers to have Biogenetics as soon as possible. How quickly does the Union wishes to own this tech?
We might be willing to offer Industrial Automation next time the opportunity comes, but a level 3 tech for a level 1 tech is rather disparitive. Is the Union imperative in changing to Biogenetics as first priority when we transfer Industrial Automation or can we ask you to research a higher level tech if possible?
Also, for another possible trade: would the Union be willing to trade a level 1 tech AND a unit of our choice for Industrial Automation?

The last would be most forthcoming I think, we have some substantial gain on our part while the Union gains two technologies within a few years.

And in response to another topic brought up: mutual beneficial research does sound as an excellent way to cooperate in the future.

They are not quite happy, especially with insultive tone in the first part of message. I took liberty to inquire if they have or are currently researching Biogenetics and assuring them we will reply to other patrs of message soon. Part of message implies that they might be researching Biogenetics. They've also got their eyes on Unity Rover - we must be careful.

I do not have authorisation to directly answer you that question, but I do have a proposal in this spirit too: it is in interests of Gaian Union wishes to cooperate with Data Angels, and research cooperation should be one of objectives. What I propose is a treaty between Data Angels and Gaian Union - if you are willing to sign it, I am sure our High Council and Lady Deirdre will sign it too.

However, since there aren't any Morgans registered, and Drogue has not created forums in advance for our future discussions with Morgan and Sparta there is only one conclusion: Spartans have met Angels.

I will make no comment on private forums, nor who has met who, however I will say that Eventis is used as private forums for many games, both from other games, DGs, and other team games. Read into the registrations what you will, but wrt Eventis, there is always more than one conclusion.

if explanation needed, you can add:

"status change" means an event when one side either:

1.unexpectedly achieves a tech
2.acquires a tech by trade

Let 'em take their pick of units, perhaps with the exception of the unity foil. If they request a worm, we can ship one over. Don't give 'em a unit on our continent, of course! (not that this is possible unless their territory extends on to our continent)

IA will be a huge boon to us, and the turns saved against the next tech are significant. Let's give em the SL and the Rover for IA and Biogen. Refuse to study a higher tech. We need Biogen/SocPsych much more than anything but Bioengineering/restriction lifting.

I think the sentiment so far is to accept the deal. I think you should go ahead and accept it now, before our turn, so we can complete it during ourturn/theirturn, this cycle.

We can pop the fungal tower, but not the pod, then turn over both units to Angels. But we should be sure to know what unit(s) they really want first, b/c they cannot turn them back to us: wrong territory .

"We accept your suggestion of your choice of unit and a L1 tech for IA, with the following restriction: We will not turn over any naval unit or probe unit, and no units on our own continent.

As a suggestion, We have a rover and SL on your continent. Please accept both of them and treat their crews well. If, on the other hand, you'd like a mindworm, that can be arranged, however, we will need some turns to bring such a creature to your continent.

If this is an acceptable deal to you, let us know soon so that we may turn over these units to you on our turn and you may transmit IA to us on your turn.
