The fact is that the USofA is a very religious country. It's one of the main reasons I might want to leave. If New England starts going the way the rest of the country has... I'm outta here. Ya'll can have your fundamentalist shithole.

No, that's not what it's there for. Politicians who are religious ought to make decisions based on their religious principles, just like atheists do for theirs.

Why should the two be treated differently?

Which gets to the crux of the matter. Bush for all his support from religous fundamentalists has not advanced the idea in any substantial way of theocracy. Instead the suppostion is he uses his religion as a means to give him guidance and steadfastness in his decision making. A trait very sorely lacking in Kerry as his guide apparently throughout his career was political expedience.

As echoed here many times Bush for all his failings is a known quantity whilst Kerry is/was known for ....... umm... doing whatever advanced Kerry.

Red states vote to make blue states richer
Blue states vote to give more money to red states

Red states win, blue states get richer, red states get poorer...

The votes for Terrorism were about fear and the ones about moral values were really about hatred. How else can you explain how someone of such incompetence who has nothing positive to contribute to the US be re-elected?

Anyway, everything that Bush has owned has been run into the ground. The US government is no exception. Will just have to wait and see how bad things get in 4 years.

1. The whole US is loosing industry- those jobs head south on their way out- they won't stay long

2. Yes, unemployment figures in the south are lower- but so median household incomes, PCI, and school achievement rates- poverty rates are certainly higher.

It is a fact that in general, "blue states" are richer- compare Massachussets to Nebraska or Utah.

It's the ultimate insult to Kerry.
Instead of making fun of REPUBS for being stupid, you should be making fun of Democrats that thought Kerry was presidential material and voted him to be their candidate.
I would have voted for the Democrat if it had been even a decent candidate. But Kerry, I wouldn't trust him to set policy for walking my dog. And that's why he lost. Too many repubs that didn't really want to vote for bush felt the same way. So the Democrats have to carry the burden also.

This is nonsense. Kerry was the very best Northern Liberal the Dems had. He was tall, smooth, extremely articulate and obviously intelligent. He clearly had a lot of the personal qualities that are necessary to be president.

The Dems did not lose because of Kerry. Most of them know that.

Nice deflect but your point was which area was getting richer. Rate of change.

The red states are going in the black while the blue states are going in the red.

Point is red states vote in self interest to continue to attract jobs. While idiot blue states continue to vote away theirs.

This actually is a very interesting study:

In many blue states the difference between poor and rich has grown faster than in the red states.

Only in the Nedaverse. Unfortunately for those of us in the blue states, approximately 51% of America lives in the Nedaverse. Mass delusion really isn't pretty.
