When I was playing KotOR I, I lost all thirty-fourty hours of play in a mistake. That pissed me off. I now save often.

No, it's just being grammatically correct. Had I said it "runs," you would have had a point.

I only had one bug in KOTOR 2 on the X-Box. I went back to an old save and it got cleared up.

Oh for ****'s sake!

It's doing it to me again! Four different saved games, within ten minutes of each other, all of 'em deeply ****ed. I haven't yet tried the next oldest one, about an hour and a half in the past. Doesn't sound like much, but I don't get much time to play thanks to my work situation.

I'm just gonna wait for a patch and hope it helps.

Dammit, I KNEW LucasArts would **** me again.

Suffering from ads?

I'm sorry, but even if you got your game to work, you've already been ****ed - with the ending. Probably because of time constraints (to get the game done for Christmas for the XBox, as pressured by LucasArts) the original, great ending to the game couldn't be finished in time and was replaced with a bunch of short, uneventful, trite crap.

Spoilers abound, but people have been able to fish out parts of the original axed ending from the game files, read more here.

Now I'm just trying to make myself think I never even saw the game ending.

Edit: Whoa, I found a way better page that has it all compiled. And it seems they axed a whole lot of other stuff too mid-game to streamline the ending. Maybe several hours of gameplay! Stuff like

spoiler(highlight to read):
HK-47 apparently takes the fight back at the HK-50 -series by attacking and destroying the factory that is pushing them out! Wow. I was severely disappointed with the limited guest star role he had in the retail version.

And an explanation why the force bond between the Exile and Kreia is severed endgame (as you obviously do not lose HP when Kreia does).

My saves get ****ed a lot too. A comp restart usually solves the problem, but sometimes certain save files seem unstable.

You keep shifting your arguments as you get caught making more unsupported statements.

Still, it seems to me from my perusal of forums that game-crashing bugs in the console version of Kotor2 are not that common, especially considering the massive size of the game. It's a general rule that the bigger a game, the more likely it is that there will be bugs. I can't think of a bigger game than Kotor2.

And I've encountered such bugs in other console games. Not often, true, but they are there. No game is bug-free.

yeah people always say they buy games if they are good, but how many people actually do that?

I won't bullshit you. All the songs I download aren't for "sampling". I keep them for my own personal use .

There's a reason why I consider downloading songs less harmful than downloading software.

There will always be people willing to record music and make music. No matter how little money they make. It's a glamorous life. The extra money is just icing on the cake. And they will continue to produce "underground" and less popular music even though they make next to nothing. All this napster and music downloading hasn't forced bands to make "popular" music so they can stay afloat. Yes I realize stealing is stealing. But I have no moral values. I'm not justifying "stealing" music. I just don't give ****. The reason why I don't like stealing games is explained below.

But it's different in the computer game industry. I already see a consolidation of companies just to stay afloat, and profitable. And then they are forced to dumb down games to make them more appealable to a wider audience. . If they could actually make money selling smaller/independant games this would not be the case.

I have no problems shelling out $50 for a good game. If I were to steal games, it would be popular games like Sims2 that make a ton of money anyways. But I would not do it for genres that aren't as popular like serious rpg's and TBS games.

Then to your willpower.

I've bought games before after sampling them, but I wouldn't say I always do, even if they are good.

For me (in the UK) the main driver is late releases. I'm just impatient when a juicy game gets released.

I do regret buying Sims2. Like I mentioned earlier, it's a popular game. The programmers aren't likely to be out of business anytime soon.

I just don't know any good sites to find free games. That's why I made my thread. I want to find jagged alliance 2 and system shock 2 for free. It does me know good if you guys don't post the web address (or better yet, PM me ). I don't do searches because it'd be too likely to find an virus if I used the first one I found.

But games such as KOTOR2 I don't regret buying. They are a small upstart company, and need my support. Though perhaps they do deserve a little punishment for not finishing the damn game. But there's still enough cool **** in that game to be worth the $38 I paid for it.

It wasn't a bad game, just not worth $50. I didn't get more than 30 hours out of it. So by the minimum requirment of $1/hr, I shouldn't have paid over $30 for it.

Got spare money?

I bought The Sims 2 to my niece for Christmas. She was ecstatic! She loves that game. I don't think I would like it myself. If you look at the games I own, there's always violence involved.
