Well the 2 worms came for the former bait and were promptly burnt to dust.
Hmm i thought if a pod was popped in base radius it wouldn't produce worms ?? or does the pod have to be next to the base ... gonna lose another scout to the pests

I also lost a unit to the worms and I didn't even get to see them! They struck at me from the fungus. It was one of my best units too. I just saw the "you've been destroyed by mindworm attack near ___ base" message when I started my turn. I seem to be pretty isolated from other factions...at least I can develop my bases up but it gets pretty boring especially with very little tech.

As this is not an official 'Poly tourney game, if you want y'all can reset the alphax.txt to allow contact before getting the commlinks.

Just open the alphax.txt in notepad or word (if word, make sure that you save it afterwards as a .txt file and not a word file) and make one change:

about ten lines from the end of the #RULES section (the first section) you'll see a line:

0, ; If non-zero, humans can always contact each other in hotseat/email games

Just change that "0" to a "1" and next time you open the turns you'll be able to contact one another

It'll speed up the game as well, as you'll get techs and treaties/pact income earlier as a result

I've got no particular stance on this, things aren't going too badly for me since im buried in a corner without that monster Lal coming to beat me up grrr he nicked the command nexus just before i was going to get it !!! not good, well trained hordes of peacekeepers ...
It's upto you 2 if you want us to be able to contact each other or not.

Good luck with santiago hordes or well trained spartans can be even more of a problem.
