Sure I do. I try to understand where you're coming from.

Of course, where you're coming from turns on a dime about every ten minutes, which makes that something close to a full time job (first thinking is work, then it isn't. Invention is work, and then it isn't. Rent is exploiting, unless the state does it and calls it a usage fee, then it's okay, etc., etc., ad nauseum).

Generally, in a debate, people pick a position and stay with it. You're either pro-choice, or you aren't, for example. Not so with the Kid...he's all over the map. Positions change so fast it makes your head spin.

Yeah, after a while, I admit, I stop following the threads of your unique "logic" but I still enjoy the debate.

Bad credit is only another barrier, like poverty. Vel knows there are people with bad credit and people in poverty who can not own their own home, so he buys the home and rents it too them.

I own the house because I thought I'd be good at prop. management, and so far, I'm happy to report that I was correct.

I also own the house and put a lot of WORK in the house in order to get something back for it.

Keep the full fruits of your labor, remember?

That means I deserve compensation for:
1) Assuming the risk that others either can't, or don't want (mortgage)
2) Parts, materials, and time spent making the place livable
3) Ongoing maintenance and associated paperwork
4) Use of my facilities

Anything less and they'd be exploiting me. This is, per your own definition, by the way.

The place wasn't LIVABLE when I bought it.

It required that someone buy it who had the time and spare money to MAKE repairs to MAKE it livable.

So you're saying I don't deserve compensation for that?

Nor for the risk of floating the mortgage on it so I could MAKE those repairs?

Which means it'd sit empty, or someone might have bought it who could barely afford it, then they'd have no AC, a bad paint job, lousy carpets, and a leaky roof and windows, with no money to repair those things.
