Hmm. I'm a bit conflicted about this, as well as about 'letting' people change their votes. I was going to change mine only to break a tie - not because I'm a flip-flopper. I suppose I should have withheld my vote, but I can't see the results without voting first ...

On the one hand, not only would a runoff be beneficial (to get the feeling of the 4 votes for other names), and let people change their votes if they want.

On the other hand, I have two major problems with it.

1. Stop changing your votes! It takes too much time to re-vote, and to be honest if you voted for one name then you're probably not too upset if that one wins; who knows how many people want to change their votes?

2. I doubt so many people would vote this time around; I would rather not disenfranchise anyone simply because they didn't vote a second time on the same issue. Some people WILL be missed, unless we wait another week to do this thing. I'd rather not wait that long ...

What I will suggest is that if the 4 people who voted for the two other options would like to post their preferences between PE and Eve of Destruction, that would be an acceptable change, as it avoids the run-off without actually...

Does that sound ok? There's not a lot of time left - honestly I wanted to start this tonight, but it may be a bit until we get the final details in. I don't want to give a set deadline, rather just "i'll take into account anyone who vote for the last 2 (obviously losing) suggestions until the game is finalized, in the vote total; and if it is a tie I will take into account the vote changes requested (to EoD)."

Excellent to hear and updated in thread post 1.

In the future I'd like to ask that at least temporarily new members be forwarded to Team Six if it is agreeable, as they are currently the smallest team and to be fair to them we should make sure they have enough active members to compete... It's not a requirement (as this isn't a DictoGame ) but a polite request

I for one do not intend to recruit anyone else to my team until each team has at least 6 members. Thanks

especially since i didn't read this prior to my last post As much as I have a vested interest in seeing this game work, I'd rather everyone have a say in starting it and feel involved ... I'm all for making decisions that require making, and to speed the start up. Just don't let it go to my head.

Polite request noted. However, if Team 6 are serious they will recruit for their own team. Lobbying is part of a Democracy after all

Okay, it looks like Friday may be the day we are able to start, if Dominae can get the map done then, otherwise over the weekend. I'm not sure if forums/civgroups will need to wait beyond that - still need a bit of info for that.

If you haven't finalized either your civ details (see the Dominae Info thread) get those to me TODAY (Friday) PLEASE ... and if you haven't got me your official team name or your civgroup icon (15x19, that's 15 wide and 19 tall) please do so ASAP. (If you need help on the icon post here what you want as an icon and I or someone else can try to make it for ya.)

I'm running into an RL snag, and can only promise that the game will be ready to go sometime this weekend. Sorry for the slight delay, I wanted to know what I was working with (settings, number of players, etc.) before actually doing the grunt work.

The map looks pretty sweet, though, if you ask me.
