Less people that do it, more money saved, people live longer.

If that means their feeling get hurt by me calling them an idiot for choosing to smoke, it's not really my concern...

employers should have the right to fire anyone they want to, just as they have the right to hire anyone they want to.

if they dont wanna have gays/smokers/flamers/liberals/commies, then thats their perogative. thats not discrimination, thats freedom of associated. find another job, its not your right to work at a particular company.

I didnt realize san antonio was a hick town my bad! since we got. so many backword a** country folk living here, i guess, oh never mind you just dont get it you dont have to choose to be gay you just are just as i dont choose to continue to smoke i just do.

1) Private company
2) HEALTH-CARE company
3) At-will employment state
4) 2 years notice and help to quit smoking
5) Your ass is FIRED.

The argument I'm making is such discrimination is fine in this case, for the above reasons (and smoking is one of the stupidest things anyone can do).

I'll call people an idiot if they shoot themselves in the foot, and they're also an idiot if they put tar in their lungs.
