There's nothing I can make that wouldn't be vastly underpowered (monsters) or vastly overpowered (items). Or that hasn't already been done somewhere.

More fun on Folderol tonight. Ran with somebody else for the first time... so naturally I forget his name... I think I remember the player name at least.

I saved him a couple of times and he saved me a couple times and we slaughtered stuff (after we remembered to keep an eye on our hp). Good fun.

Then I harassed Tuberski since I noticed he was on while I messed about with my inventory. (ack!)

Damn, and I was playing WBC3 instead of being on Folderol Those who want to submit items still have time by the way. I'll be in the toolset and listening to 5 Live all afternoon (C'mon United!)*

I'm also collecting insane monster suggestions. Dwarven skeletons and dwarven zombies are go, ice kobolds are go, all kinds of secret tricksy stuff is go....

Argh. Why are lizardman warriors classified as easy and give so low (relatively speaking) exp? Those big ants are way way easier and give more...

And I assume those hasted boots (thanks, Tuberski) have all those nice penalties for balance purposes or something...
Oh well, they're fantastic for running away, which is what I end up doing half the time...

Jam can add more but the difficulty rating is set by the game based on challenge rating, which depends on the powers that the designer has given the monster. Unfortunately, some powers, whilst useful, are useless against certain classes, and some powers just cause a challenge rating that is too high. The converse is also true.

You get effortless people you can't touch, and impossible people you can solo, with effort, and some item abuse.

There are (were?) no good haste items for warrior classes, which is a little stingy. There should IMO be a late game item that drops from the dragon in the South that gives haste.

You can pop potions before battles late game though, since you'll have loadsamoney.

Those lizards are a pain in the arse, specialy the priests and their bloody isaacs missile spells. Still, its better than them spamming 'harm' I guess.

I picked up some plain old boots of speed somewhere. Couldnt live without perm haste really. Thats the worst bit about starting a new character, they just plod along between areas :yawn:
