I would also ask you to reconsider. Googlie is roleplaying as the Spartans, and as such is being a bully. It's what the Spartans seem like to most people. However you wish to react, or whatever diplomacy you will conduct and deals you'll agree to, it shouldn't, IMHO, be a reason to leave the DG.
SMAC multiplayer always turns into realpolitik, as people betray others when it means they can get ahead. Renegotiation of deals seems quite common, in terms of trying to squeeze another faction for more.
If there is more to this, however, please fill me in, so I can investigate any nastiness or impropriety.

I sent a message to Geo that he is awaited in EM Central Command. He should come if Angel Spirit means something for him.
Meanwhile let us be cool about it and just analyze the situation. We cannot at the moment respond to Spartan bullying with force, but if needs be the time will come. We need to work on some good strategy.
Dead or alive we will complete the mission and the game.

From his posts it seems that this game maginfied RL views/problems and the Spartan Letter put him over the edge.

With the way things have been progressing I am now the Ambassador for the Data Angles.
