I will contact BOH today or tonight. Maybe I'll try to get ahold of AM first, but that doesn't matter. I can just make somthing up if I need to. I won't over do it.
BTW, what is up with BOH constantly changing contacts?

Sent to BOH...
quote:
Ambassador Nimitz,
I will have time on Wednesday evening (based on GMT -6) for a chat. I pray that is ok with you.
The Horde request information of AM positions. Last turn AM attacked from their southern cities. Screenies did not show locations. This turn you can see an AM stack in the screen shot. I have attached 2 shots of the same area and included cities and landmarks to aide you.
The stack in that is threatening us is a stack of six units: 2 cats, the rest are difficult to tell due to renaming but include Pikemen and War Chariots. They are using this to steal our production and cities while staging for the attack against BOH.
The Morporkians refuse our contacts now that we refused to allow them to break yet another deal. We will continue to try to kiss up to them, to buy us time and send the info to you.
Our continued improving relations are promising. We hope this new friendship grows.
If you cannot wait until tomorrow please contact Beta our leader, or E_T our turn player.
Highest regards,
-Skrobism

I sent two screenies of the same location. That is a stack of six AM units.

Just chatted with Nimitz of BOH. BOH has really changed its tune. What happened?
They will consider threatening or attacking AM.
Babylon will try to set up trade talks with BOH and Eu/LB/Babylon.
quote:
Skrobism says:
greetings Nimitz of the Horde
Nimitz says:
greetings Skrobism
Skrobism says:
Is there something that babylon can help you with.
Nimitz says:
as far as specifics nothing really
Nimitz says:
just wanted to get to talk with you and see how things are going
Nimitz says:
introduce myself
Skrobism says:
In Babylon. Things are touch and go. As you know we detest and distrust the Morporkians.
Nimitz says:
Yes that I have heard
Skrobism says:
We had hoped to pass BOH info on AM's plans against you.
Skrobism says:
It seems that they have gotten impatient or got wind that we were backstabbing them.
Nimitz says:
hmm
Nimitz says:
intresting
Skrobism says:
My guess is that they never planned to Vassalize us.
Nimitz says:
could be maybe they were always just plotting to get you in a bad spot
Skrobism says:
We do KNOW that they have plans against BOH and are using Babylon iron and cities to execute this plan.
Skrobism says:
of course.
Nimitz says:
yes so what are they up now
Skrobism says:
I think they want to do their planned capt jump sooner than later.
Skrobism says:
The capital is to move to Bab territory
Skrobism says:
further away from the BOH front
Nimitz says:
hmm
Nimitz says:
how they going to jump it
Skrobism says:
They no longer want to wait for babylon's Vassalization
Skrobism says:
How?
Skrobism says:
They are building the FP.
Nimitz says:
ok
Skrobism says:
They will load up an ex-Bab citiy with troops to ensure that the capt jumps to the correct site.
Nimitz says:
ok
Skrobism says:
*I am not that good of a player but that is what I gathered from posted chats*
Nimitz says:
me neither but hey its all good
Skrobism says:
Beta and E_T and Krill seem to think that will work.
Skrobism says:
so I believe them.
Nimitz says:
they should know been playing for awhile
Skrobism says:
Babylon understands that we only have a cease fire.
Skrobism says:
You owe us nothing, but we are trying to re-build this old friendship.
Nimitz says:
yes as am I trying to rebuild the trust that we have lost
Nimitz says:
but as you know it takes time and work
Skrobism says:
You can choose to believe us or not. AM is coming for BOH very soon.
Skrobism says:
We ask that you move your units towards AM.
Skrobism says:
No need to declare war.
Skrobism says:
just move
Nimitz says:
hmm
Skrobism says:
the AM cities of either Barrow's Nest or Unreal Estate could be threatened.
Nimitz says:
We have the Grey Wolves in good position...we're not worried
Skrobism says:
then you might be safe. Babylon will vanish from the EoD world.
Nimitz says:
and only the red guard could do that
Nimitz says:
we have the strength should AM attack
Nimitz says:
but what is your plan
Nimitz says:
you might give us reason to change our minds
Skrobism says:
*my wife is coming home and my boys are going to bed I might go quiet for a few minutes to say Hi and GNight.*
Skrobism says:
Our plan
Nimitz says:
ok
Skrobism says:
BOH could cut their iron near Barrow's Nest - as we will be cutting their Babylonian source shortly.
Skrobism says:
We have little to work with
Nimitz says:
yes hmm
Nimitz says:
what would you say of AMs strength
Skrobism says:
Babylon had hoped to allow BOH to sneak in via the sourthern coast as a surprise attack.
Skrobism says:
AM's Strength?
Nimitz says:
yes
Skrobism says:
aren't they listed as strong?
Nimitz says:
that may be so but it is a relitive term
Skrobism says:
but the power graph shows strength too.
Nimitz says:
hmm
Skrobism says:
BAbylon will continue to send you as much info as we can while we try to get AM to back off. maybe we can get back in the good graces of AM and feed you info later. Right now Babylon is looking at exiting the game d/t AM conquering our lands
Nimitz says:
d/t?
Skrobism says:
due to
Nimitz says:
ahh
Skrobism says:
I guess that is all that I have to offer BOH for now.
Nimitz says:
are you still talking with AM
Skrobism says:
We request that you move towards AM cities.
Nimitz says:
is it going ok
Skrobism says:
They have stopped responding . I will try again tonight via email.
Nimitz says:
hmm
Nimitz says:
if we did move do you have any idea as to what we might face
Skrobism says:
I sent the only stack that we could see. Let me got through the past chats to see if there were numbers included regarding the capt jump.
Nimitz says:
ok
Skrobism says:
locations for the FP...
Skrobism says:
Krill> We have a couple of prebuilds going at the moment. Depending on what happens with the tech race, the FP can go into any of them. As to where they are, Helio is my preference, but TMR and Unseen Uiversity are also building large improvements atm, and so we don't have to make our minds up just yet.
Nimitz says:
very intresting
Skrobism says:
regarding units
Skrobism says:
They are planning to have a LOT of their Military new Capitol site. That's quite a distance from BoH. Also, they are doing several prebuilds, right now, so they aren't using it for war production.
Skrobism says:
I need to check on numbers with E_T or Beta. There might have been numbers mentioned that did not make it to the forum.
Nimitz says:
well if you do get them email them to me and I'll relay them
Skrobism says:
of course.
Skrobism says:
/end diplo?
Nimitz says:
well just a few things
Skrobism says:
ok
Nimitz says:
I'll take this to the Red guard right away for them to deside on, but it may take a little bit. If we do do this we have some forces in the general area but it would be a few turns before they will be positioned to attack.
Nimitz says:
due to the disction
Skrobism says:
It is of course your choice to attack. We only ask that you threaten by moving towards AM cities.
Nimitz says:
ok I will tell you what the red guard does as soon as it is decided
Skrobism says:
Babylon thanks you and looks forward to rebuilding the friendship of old.
Nimitz says:
oh and one other thing is all quiet on your other borders
Skrobism says:
is that a question?
Nimitz says:
yes
Skrobism says:
Yes it is quiet on our non-AM borders.
Nimitz says:
good wouldn't what you to get in a two front war in your position
Nimitz says:
want^
Skrobism says:
no. we wouldn't. No worries about that though. Lost Boys are our friends.
Nimitz says:
ya
Nimitz says:
what you going to do when 1889 leaves
Skrobism says:
No idea who is replacing him. We hold that whoever that is will continue where 889 left off.
Skrobism says:
might be Lord Nuclear but not sure.
Nimitz says:
you on good terms
Skrobism says:
with 1889?
Nimitz says:
no lord
Skrobism says:
no idea. He's not in this game is he?
Nimitz says:
umm not that I know of
Skrobism says:
I have rarely come across him in my games.
Nimitz says:
ya
Skrobism says:
you?
Nimitz says:
not really main seen him in the FG and NESs
Skrobism says:
LN is just a possibility. I have no idea who will take over.
Nimitz says:
hey could you do something for me
Skrobism says:
in game or out?
Nimitz says:
kinda in game but not info or something like that
Skrobism says:
ok. maybe. ask.
Nimitz says:
umm could you try and get a chat between us and LB
Skrobism says:
could you assure 1889 that you would not backstab him? You must understand that there is great distrust because of the aggression of BOH/TNA vs DR, then the way TNA broke up.
Skrobism says:
I would love to have BOH welcomed back into the family of nations.
Skrobism says:
I can tell 1889 that you want a chat.
Nimitz says:
yes you can tell him and assure him we are not in for a backstab we only wish to fix relationships and start trade. We are willing to take small steps
Skrobism says:
that would be a good start - end this ugly war and start trade. What of the Bards?
Skrobism says:
*Be right back
Nimitz says:
on the bards I don't know much Plato handles it directly and so you would need to speak to him, But I do know there talk of peace
Nimitz says:
Even a commitee was set up to work on it, then bards threatened to make deal with DR and all fell apart. Not real sure of what happened
Skrobism says:
This would go far to ease tensions between Eu/LB/Bab and BOH.
Nimitz says:
but I'm sure Plato could go into more detail on that
Skrobism says:
ok. I will speak with 1889 and the bards about ending hostiliies vs BOH and beginning trade. maybe setup a summit of at least chat/emails.
Nimitz says:
sounds good
Skrobism says:
or at least
Skrobism says:
good. I will copy BOh on an email to the Bards and 1889.
Nimitz says:
I thank you for this my, good sir.
Skrobism says:
Please consider this when deciding what to do with AM.
Skrobism says:
no need to rush to war but preasure would be nice
Skrobism says:
pressure
Nimitz says:
I will and tell my team of your help
Nimitz says:
consider that
Skrobism says:
Thank you.
Nimitz says:
well if you think that we have covered all we need I will let you go to your family
Nimitz says:
no need to hold you up
Skrobism says:
OK. thank you. I will be on-line much of the night. feel free to ping me if you need something.
Nimitz says:
I will if the need arises
Skrobism says:
good night
Nimitz says:
have a good night

Interesting how they allow for discussion within their team but others are not given a chance to react. Let's see. I see to remember them giving Eu about 2 hours. I know that on more than 1 occassion we got rants and threats for a 1 day delay.
But that's fine. I don't have much to offer the Horde anyway now that we are openly at war with AM. They can take their time. No news from the Horde is usually good news.

Someone, Please Send to the Horde
quote:
AM has now moved a very large number of Pikes, Horses and MI's to the Front against Babylon, with more on the way.
Here's your chance to hurt them badly. They expect you to attack DR next and are now having to reposition forces in fighting us.
Their Ultimate Plan is to get their Palace moved, with large number of Mil Units, down to Babylon land and further away from BoH border. Giving them room incase of BoH incursion.
The war with us has sapped their streinght somewhat and has forced them to shelf their Invasion plans against you, for a short time.
They still have 2 to 3 Wonder Prebuilds going (figure one for FP, 2nd for HE and 3rd for Another Wonder (very likely Knights Templar). So, they won't be building many more Mil Units. As part of the Palace move plan, they will be abandoning their Capitol.

Here's the answer. I need input on how to reply. Or is Skrobie more appropriate. Let me know...

RE: Emissary from the Golden Towers of Babylon
Golden Bear
Thank you for your correspondence.
I have forwarded it to the relevant people, Plato - Our Chief Ambassador; Nimitz - Ambassador to your nation; Ruby - Khanate Prince of the Death Valley Province, which neighbours your lands.
They are the best people for you to contact regarding diplomatic correspondence.
I must say I am most curious how you retain knowledge of their builds, as your nations are again at war. Can you possibly explain such knowledge?

Golden Bear,
If BOH is respnding to you go for it. My suggestion...
It is right of you to question our sources. In the recent past we were getting cozy with AM. They shared with E_T and Beta plans that included the palace jump. They spoke of details, naming these wonders as part of the plan. It is obvious that the palace jump is still important to them. Why else would they continue to push south into Babylon while making friends with the Lost Boys.
The Pikes and what must be the main force of their army is moving into Babylon. Hit them now and you do yourself a favor. Wait for the palace jump, and you will see what comes your way.
Babylon is hurt bad. We cannot hope to be a world power. We offer this information to you as a gift to show our desire to be a friend of the Blood Oath Horde.

And indeed, here is what I sent:
-------------
Reply to BOH, 925 BC
Following the advice of Skrobie, I sent the following message to our, ahem, close friends at BOH (I'll also post it in the forum for posterity):
---------------------
Babylon requests an Audience
Hail and enormous courtesies to all of your magnificent lords. I, your insignificant servant have messages for your from the Golden Towers of Babylon.
I understand from the great Khan, Paddy, that you are interested in the doings of our tiny homeland. Thus, pending further clarification, I take the liberty of answering to all of you.
The Great Khan asked of us this question:
"I must say I am most curious how you retain knowledge of their builds, as your nations are again at war. Can you possibly explain such knowledge?"
In response, I can say this. Long and long have we striven to achieve peace with the AMers. We find such communication difficult for our cultured selves. In the process we several times neared rapprochement and thus shared information.
They shared with E_T and Beta plans that included the palace jump. They spoke of details, naming these wonders as part of the plan. It is obvious that the palace jump is still important to them. Why else would they continue to push south into Babylon while attempting to make friends with the Lost Boys - not a good thing for anybody, I am certain you will agree.
The Pikes and what must be the main force of their army is moving into Babylon. They think we are finished but we can pin them for a time. Hit them now and you do yourself a favor. Wait for the palace jump, and you will face them without an enemy in their rear.
We offer this information to you as a gift to show our desire to be a friend of the Blood Oath Horde. Clearly we cannot aspire to the same goals as a power such as you but we nevertheless can have our time of glory against a blood foe. Let's be clear. If you attack AM while they are focused on us, you'll be helping us out big time. However, if you wait for us to be out of circulation, it's going to be tougher for you. This seems to be a matter of taking actions that benefit both parties equally.
We're pretty much aware that BOH does not take allies and we know our place in the system. Nevertheless we can work together for our immediate benefit and sort out the details later.
Humbly yours, and once again, please let me be your emissary to the Masters of Babyon.
Golden Bear
----------
Message sent to Paddy, Nimitz, Plato and Rubychaser.
I really think that they want to do something, but they do not want to be allied or tied to us. Of course they will want something from us and I am trying to pay them with words - squirming, flattery and whatnot. I want to keep our cash and resources for better purposes. I believe that their vanity will just suck this up. We'll see.
------------
Personally, I think AM is shaky in their resolve and BOH is casting about for purpose. It seems a match made in heaven.
Can anybody else get better response out of LN? Worried...
