Well you've probably seen that Euphorica attacked our stack outside Beach Boys, inflicting substantial damage and probably destroying any ability we had for counterattack.

You know, with all your huge amount of military gallavanting over the countryside, we're sure getting tired of your lack of battle experience and strange ability to always be away from the action when it hits.

I thought we were coordinating things to split their forces, yet it seems that we've taken the brunt of it while you guys are nowhere to be seen. Your forces should have been out in the open ready to be hit, not hiding in cities waiting for the all clear.

Paddy, you have directed our forces in certain directions to their deaths. Where are the Horde martyrs for our joint cause? I see none!

Call me suspicious and untrusting, but the way Euphorica and the Horde just played their turns smacks of collusion.

Up to this point, Snoopy declared they would fight to the finish and they would not allow either of us to take a single town.

Snoopy delayed playing this turn because he had to have crucial discussions with an external team to finalise strategy. At the time I thought this was strange, as with only 3 towns left he couldn't hold out any hope for assistance from Babylon or the Lost Boys, themselves both already at war.

When he finally attacks, he seems to have virtually his whole army inside Beach Boys waiting to attack our stack, and even more strangely, allows your Horseman to walk into Rolling Stones unopposed. What happened to the scorched earth policy that was previously sworn by them?

It now seems that the reason he delayed the turn was to strike a deal with the Horde.

I want an explanation from you. And I don't want any more of your indignant responses that say "how dare you question me!". The Horde have shown themselves many times in the past to be untrustworthy and have turned on their allies on 2 previous occasions.

So, it is time for some straight talking my friend!

There may come a time when you would wish a combined attack on Beach Boys. Once Abba falls we will stand ready to assist, until then our troops are moving in on Abba from 5 angles.

It could be that the Bards hate you more than they hate us, or they fell deeply into the holes the Blood Cell dug.

Yet, you have obtained a glorious victory over the rabble of musical insurgents in Beach Boys. We will now draw the remaining forces to Abba as we will be hitting them hard there. Once your great warriors heal, then you can move in to claim your rightful victory. Our screening force will ensure your safety as you heal, they are too tempting a target for the Bards in comparison to the strength in the forces you have remaining. Adding to that, us taking Rolling Stone should move us up their hate ladder several notches yet again.

Should the Bards be using the same military doctrine of successive decisive battles, as eloquently put forward by Moonbars, we are quite certain that Euphoricans will transfer their catapults, swordsmen and Beyonce Knowles to Abba. This will ensure that we will take the hit of the extra troops as they can see our lads moving in on Abba. It is only fair after what happened at Beach Boys, you know that to be true.

The message Snoopy sent with the save..

Our peace treaty looks like it may work out, given we killed well over
half of the DR force ... Sadly I ran out of offensive units before I
could entirely destroy it, but it's down to nearly naught.

Hopefully I can meet with Plato tomorrow to cement said treaty,
apparently we missed each other this past night by an hour or so ...
Until then I go only on the cease-fire Paddy confirmed saturday night,
and presume anything beyond that will be negotiated forthwith.

We have long known of the special relationship you share with the Lost Boys. This info was sent to the Lost Boys as a sign of our strength and we did not believe compromised you in any way. You know that the Lost Boys have rebuffed many attempts to contact them in our recent history. With them forwarding this so fast we are even more certain that your relationship is stronger than you have led me to believe of late. Interesting bit of information taht that is old chap.

We have no reason to war with the Lost Boys, even though they declareded war on us. (In much the same manner you were leading me to believe that the Lost Boys would be declaring war on desolationrow when they next get the save. If that was to take place after this incident, of them running to you so fast, then that would surely be a ploy of some sort.) It must be stated that as they do run to you so quickly, this makes us even more interested in a peace with them. We could work nicely together, we have much room for each to grow and move in, thus sorting out our differences with them is a winfor all three teams.

Our communication was both an offer of trade and friendship, as well as a show of strength and ability.

Aqua, I heard your words on the phone, and after a very long and involved chat with all involved, we find no where in the comms with the Lost Boys that asks for a alliance against Desolation Row. This is the explanation you have asked for. To read anymore into it would be to insert items that are not there. We do find that they are now obviously deeply affiliated with you.

As to the ability to chart trends, make assumptions, gather intel, and present the information that as you have seen, I must say that I am inpressed with the group that gathered the various details and applied themselves, taking the time and effort to put it all together.

So to I am happy that they did so well and rattled your cages. You should be happy to, for as our allie, you have the ability to request such documents and reports from time to time on various subjects, as you have the ability to utilize many of our departments skills and trades.

I believe you make one large error of judgement regarding the Lost Boy. You see, he seems willing to share information with everybody, regardless of the relationship. The fact that he has forwarded that communication to us does not indicate a strong relationship between us. He would probably do the same for others. In fact, our relationship with the Lost Boy is really no different from that we have with AM or Babylon...though probably better than Babylon

So any claim of knowing about a "special relationship" we share with LB is merely jumping to a conclusion unsupported by facts. There is none, above normal cordial neighbourly terms that allow trade when the opportunity arises.

Remember also, DR have thus far been a passive civ and have only reacted to wars others have forced upon us. Given the treachery in this world, for this reason and this reason alone, other civs may wish to become friends with us. That doesn't necessarily mean we will return the friendship

if you look in the lurkers thread moonbars said he was quitting last night.

As for my self im glad he has been a source of annoyance to me on a personal level and to other horde members.

I posted a simple message to him in that thread

haha...Chris is really a great guy...and a fierce competitor. This game was set up to be a bloody struggle and I think some where not fully aware of that going into it.. Nonetheless, if it isn't fun, then there is no reason to play.
