Kloreep - I will let them know.
Received from Euphorica...
quote: I agree, that's okay with us for a little while at least. Recapturing
metallica or getting to a safe spot where we can gov't change would
change that of course.
I'm pretty sure DR is going to ally with BoH, perhaps already has.
However, we can always try ...
I think BoH will want to eliminate us. If so, we may need to do a
vox-like boat-around-the-world with a settler ... is there a good spot
for that, btw, where we can hide, if needed?
Regarding their evidence, I believe I know what it is. Paddy
misinterpreted a comment by McMeadows - badly misinterpreted - to think
that McM was saying we had NO troops at home; which was incorrect, and
when he found we had a half dozen swordsmen to our name in Nirvana (by
either paying for a city view, which is absurd, or going back in time,
which is illegal), he felt that we were lying to him and hiding a
force. Clearly a reason to declare war to us rather than just ask
what's going on ... =(
Anyways, please keep us in the loop and we'll do the same.
Your constant ally,
Snoopy369 of Euphorica

Snoopy's reply (below) and my response to his reply (above).
quote: If our warrior moved there - he would be cut down before he could do anything. And it would give them reason to declare war. as it is - we have given our explanation for not providing feudalism, and they have unerstood it and not declared war - yet.
We have also been in touch with DR and are awaiting their reply. E_T had a great chat with AM and it looks like they are on side, at least for a defensive pact. We are trying to gain support for offensive action, but this may take time. |

If they are going to sail around the world to settle in our back yard, they can have a hole in the desert.
Why are we looking to support Euphorica? Snnopy369 and McM are fine guys. Just about everyone here is. Yes they got screwed by BOH. That sucks. We all got screwed by BOH. But, didn't you guys read the treaty between Eu & BOH? They were originally going to go for a shared win. They have admitted that Babylon would be cut lose as soon as the DR war was over.
Get an assurance of peace for us, for now, and give the tech to anyone who wants peace with us.

quote:
...BoH proclaimed that we would be allies until the end of the game - "i want to foster long term trust and friendship", and even "but were human and can roleplay over the mechanics - and so do we and if so we would hope for a mutual victory" (later modified to the possibility of determining winner peacefully), and that there was no reason we ever had to resort to military action against one another...

If you throw enough information out there no one will read it yet you can say this was disclosed.
In a conversation with Babylon (Beta?) didn't Eu say that BOH and Eu planned to cut us from the alliance after the DR war?
EDIT
sorry it was with E_T above
quote:
[snoopy369> but it would be a peaceful ending, or at least a several turn notice ...
[snoopy369> and the alliance with you all was never particularly set in stone, like the BoH/Euphorica one was
|
/EDIT
Babylon was the third wheel on this bicycle. Let them fight it out. We need to stay neutral in this. The Bards were going to cut us lose soon enough anyway. Let them pound sand. We owe them nothing except for Feudalism. Give it to them.

Read the threads in the public forum. Aqualung71 was telegraphing this information way before our attack. In hind sight it is obvious, but we took it as A-71 being a master at mind games.
Then again snoop might be playing us.

I am dazzeled by all that has happened. So many changes. It looks like Eu have a hard road to follow. Can we really help them? I see they are in trouble. Yet all our troops are out west at the barbarian war. Are we moral support then. With the Lost Boys declaring against the Horde we have another against BoH. Is there anyway we can help Eu?

From Euphorica to LB, CCed to a lot of Babylonians
quote: I'd agree, except part of the fun for me, at least, is the argument. I'm mostly annoyed they won't rise to the debate with anything real, and just keep flinging baseless accusations at us. Bah.
I agree that they're trying to destroy us, and hopefully A-M will see this also and shortly join us. Yet, I think a demo game retains most of its character in the passionate debates. Eventually the sting from the betrayal will wear off for us Bards, and it will go back to simply destroying, or at least maiming, the Horde, for pragmatic reasons rather than emotional ones (of which there are plenty of both at the moment.)
Glad to have you all on board - if we can soon afford an embassy @ chez lb, we will invite you to our alliance.

sent to McM and snoopy via e-mail ...
quote: Bad week in the EOD game. : (CC'ing snoopy)
The level of AM's lying and deceipt surprised even us. We had a tech deal and a MPP written up, reviewed, modified, signed by us and with them that night for their signing. The tech deal comprised of them sending us 30 gold per turn, and we give them feudalism now, and our next researched tech. So yes - they now have feudlaism which was sent immediately to BOH and DR.
We were duped completely. Our team is frustrated, fairly pi$$ed, and extremely disappointed. We are avoiding the public forum for now - as it would not be pretty. And Plato is generally pi$$ing everyone off anyways.
On the plus side - I think Lost Boys are for real. I could have sworn they were in on it, and I more or less accused 1889 in a pique of frustration over the AM issue. So I had some apologies to make - as humbly as I could. They are still on side, and we will likely be sending them feudalism.
We fully expect BOH is coming for us now - along with AM. Speaking of AM - the ungrateful ba$tards after we (Babylon and Euphorica) saved their hides from BOH.
So - the best chance we have now is getting DR on-side. I have asked 1889 if he could chat with them. I have a letter in with Aqua - making peace and asking to mend bridges - and warning them about BOH. If we could get them on-side - it may take some heat of you ... and us ... and maybe turn the tables.
I can't help but think of the fine line that exists between real life and the game, given the RL emotions and relationships that exist in a demogame outside of the 'game' itself. I'm afraid the BOH, and now AM are blurring those lines. This may make for a nasty experience. And I don't think Paddy and crew, or Krill and ormuzd from AM fully understand the serious reputation hit they are taking here, nor why folks are upset with them. Go figure.
Anyways - all the best, Stay in touch.

Snoopy369 hinted at needing Feudalism for a trade. We owe it to Eu. Send it. They can trade it to DR if that buys peace with us or at least Pikes to use vs BOH.
