Well, the correspondence between the display (i.e. number of men in one unit) and the unit's HP is confirmed. Nice.

As for Soren killing himself, we can only allow this next year earilest, sorry.

I can't open the live stage demo stream one.

There are now three more movies, which are basically footage from the long demo, without sound, and supposedly in "HD quality"... Well, of course, streaming doesn't add any quality whatsoever, and for some odd reason I can't download the videos, as when I click the download link, I get redirected to the front page of www.gamespot.com . It'd be nice to see a non-fuzzy version of the videos though, to make out the details and such.

EDIT: Never mind, looks like the firewall was blocking some cookies it wasn't supposed to. Downloading the videos now, and looking for a magnifying glass to examine them with.

Check out the list of rulers in the bottom right. Second from top is Julius Caesar. I'm guessing one of the civs we are still missing "official" confirmation on is the Romans then. In fact, that's what the game was demoed as, sseing the legionnaiers and all.

Seriously though, this looks better each time I look at the pictures, the graphics look stunning and having just watched the movies, I can't wait 7 months.

This will be a good excuse to upgrade my computer.

The diplo model is indeed a lot like Civ3, only apparently more flexible, and without an advisor that tells you 100% accurately whether they'll take the deal .

On the downside, the leaders (Gandhi) at least seem to be WAY too cartoonish. Come on, the Civ3 leaders were cartoonish within reason, but this is straight out of a comic book.

Overall, while I was impressed with the graphics first, this perception begins to vanish. Did Firaxis hire artisans from Blizzard? The leaders definitely look WoWish.

- Can withdraw from combat (20% chance)

Work Boat
- Cannot enter Ocean
- Can create fishing boats, create whaling boats, create offshore platform

Fighter

Anyway, the Religion model sounds like the ol' List might have a bit of influence on it. At least that's what I'm choosing to believe, since I was the originator (and the first editor) of the Religion part of the Civ3 List. Who wants to touch me?
