Yes, some comments about Y city would be nice... Sorry for not updating over the weekends, issues with the nvidia firewall were causing random bluescreens, leading to irritation on my part. I think I have the issues resolved and intend to play to 2045 tonight. (I will grab the 2040 saves at the appropriate time)

Fray Bentos '45
Stats:
9,405
36,086
10,713
The past 5 years in Fray Bentos were spent improving on existing residential areas and bringing an overall more realistic (if not more attractive) look to the city.
The old residential and commercial areas were seperated by plazas, open grasslands and forests. In the new residential area a beach was cleaned of toxic runoff and designated safe, this gave a big boost in desirability and saw lots of luxury apartments pop up overlooking the coast.
Although theres still lots of undeveloped land in Fray Bentos, i think its unnecessary to use it all for the city to feel "complete". Ill give it 5 or 10 more years to fix the remaining problems.

El Dorado's GRRRRRREAT educational system
Lee Elementary serves New El Dorado's exploding population. Due to the huge amount of students, El Dorado Elementary (in Old El Dorado, south of Cliffside Avenue) was upgraded to handle much larger capacities, and now some children from the high rise developments of the New city are bussed down to the old rich city (although with recent rezoning there has been an explosion of its own in development south of the Avenue.)
To better serve the city, Patton High School moved down the street into a much larger facility. Enrollment in it has doubled.
Out of picture: a new library serves exclusively the northern chunk of the city, and a new hospital is placed in Spleen Park (now known as Cherry Vanilla Park.)

Dr Pepper Stadium, home of the undefeated El Dorado Llamas.
(We motivate our athletes very well. Area 51 has nothing to do with it.)

*gulp* That makes me nervous...
Anyways, I am up to 2040, massive commercial boom, stats now:
R: 141,865
C: 71,668
I: 7,357
Several of the less desireable business deals have been vacated from the city to make room for an expansion of the industrial and commercial zones. High-Tech industry is slowly replacing Manufacturing, and high-rises are sprouting up all over.

Note, no time to go to 2045 tonight.

Y CITY
Go ahead and extend that avenue all the way to my city as a connection. I've got plenty of space cleared out for it.

The one that is already up against the border with El Dorado and is on the west side of the river.
