I know more about the subject than the combined knowleged of any 10 of you. From relatives, friends fathers, Vets that I'm friends with. I doubt seriously if any of you have that much 1st hand knowledge.
As to my judgement, your damn right I passing judgment. Because I'm sick of it. From the newpapers I have access to, their broadcasts I watch. That information just doesn't magicaly appear in their heads. They learn it from someone, and than it spreads like a disease.
And I'm seeing the revisionist crap, here, too. I've been on the front line of this battle since back in '97 when I first ran for school board. Nobody seems to give a s**t except people like me, and listen to "Oh, your crazy that's not happening." Or "What I can I do, I'm insignificant, my voice don't count."
And then when these ass holes do finally get a clue, then they b i t ch, but then its too late for another generation because the programming has kicked-in.

Man you're really a patriot, you are truly my idol. You diminish all the atrocities your own country commits yet whine and act so offended by other countries when they do the same. Every country has a tail to step on and the US is no exception. Take your genocide against the native american populations in the 19th century, your continued support for slavery decades after most of ther enlightened countries illegalized it, offical state-sponsored segregation up to the 50's and 60's, support of brutal right-wing regimes which all together have also killed millions and left countries in ruins.

I wonder how many of them have ever heard of "My Lai" or perhaps words like "Somoza" or "Batista", cruel dictators which your country supported for decades. The education system isn't whitewashing, you are. Whitewashing is making something not as horrid as it was.
Case in point: all those people talking about how the atomic bomb was good for the war, and ending the discussion there. That's whitewashing. Was it good for the war? In all likelihood, and in my personal belief, yes. Does that mean we should ignore all those who suffered? No.
Your discussion here isn't factoring in all the rest of the **** that happened during Vietnam. You're whitewashing by the simple fact that you refuse to accept that the rotten things that happened were more prevalent than what you'd like to believe--and thus, you deny it.

Actually, that's second-hand knowledge. Much like what little I got from my father, who served with the Korean military during that time.

So you pass judgement on an entire country because of what one child says, and then get all huffy when people pass judgement on just you? What kind of ****ed up **** is that? You're passing a negative judgement on millions, whereas it's just maybe tens passing a negative judgement on one. Why are you so angry? Front line of what battle, the so-called culture wars? Where it's the liberals against the conservatives over every little thing, leaving the rest of us moderate Americans high and dry, held hostage to your petty bickering? Where the instant we try to come up with some workable compromise, it's torpedoed by extremists on your side or your opponents, saying that it's too much in favor of one or the other? That's why we're in the mess. It's not the liberals' fault. It's not you conservatives', either. It's both of you, and a ****in' pox on both your parties.
