My initial reaction is no. I think at this moment our best interests lie with Yang being Gov.

Re tech exchange: Again my instinct is no, up until the point when we exchange with Gaians and Morgan.

Maybe we can say that MMI is a very dangerous technology which we are doing our best to stop its proliferation, but recognise that in time it will spread.

How did they know we have AMA ?

Has anyone communicated our thoughts on these matters to the Spartans yet?

More importantly has anyone contacted the Gaians regarding our ideas on transferring clean units to us in order to bypass the Spartans Plan Data ability.

Forester, any of your insights are very valuable. We have only one game, so if every member says smth different we have to choose anyway only one path. Providing well worked solutions and explaining the reasons are the best. I know that writing longer posts is a lot of time, but demo games are like that. On the other hand since there is many members not everyone has to take care of everything. If for example you feel like analyzing our diplomacy, do just that. If you have some ideas for planning future growth, new base sites, new building items, write it. We all read the stuff. Sometimes it may seem to you that noone noticed your remarks, but in fact later these posts count when we do plans. The things may get into discussion, then reason it if needed. If you bring to the discussion the best arguments you then win and we follow that path.

Recently we wanted to build colony pod in KC. Geo insisted, that we may still pop boom there if we build recreation commons. What Geo proposed conviced me, that it has advantages. So we pop boom. Colony pod will be just a turn later.

Getting AMA was in my oppinion the best move of the decade. This happened during your turnplaying and advanced us quite high.

spartans mentioned they would support a global trade pact along with their puppet...this would seem to be in our interest as surely the spartans are not FM with a big army?(have never played sparta so not sure how they are played)

In general we accept the idea, just don't see a way how to get the clean former into your territory.

We could have Geomatrix make a transport foil after the drop aaa and then do the exchange that way.

The problem is time to build the TF and get it to Gaians, exchange, then trip back. Versus secrecy from Spartans.

Would take too long I think.

The quickest way would be we drop a unit in their lap and transfer it, they construct a clean drop former then and droptransfer it back. We have bases within droprange now so that would be easiest.

Correct me if I'm wrong in assuming that we can retroengineer a transfered clean dropformer to a clean former.

There's no-one else except us having MMI atm, so if we can persuade the Gaians NOT to trade that tech with either Morgans or us we're fine in regard of the Spartans.

No Herc, drop ability doesn't give chopper chassis.
Airtransport? You got there something, Herc. And since proper land units of Gaians have meet us already there shouldn't be a problem us transfering it over to them (the problem the 'Borgs had with the Uni last DG).

Something else that should be discussed with both Morgans and Gaians. Yang and Spartans are both eligible to the Governor seat now, and council can be called together now.

Do the three of us vote for Yang in a counter against the Spartans, or let them pay dearly in tech or whatever for our support?

PM's should be sent to both factions for this matter as well.

Ok Forest, maybe contact Morgan and ask have they info/infiltration on Spartans. Maybe we should do this in a roundabout way. What do we think?

Let us be mindful of the fact, that even asking the question, shows that we don't have infiltration of Spartans.

However we must assume that Gaians and Morgan will exchange intelligence info up to a point and will convey to them our concerns about Sparta tech capture.

I would be surprised if the Morgans had infiltration on Sparta, and think it's likely the Spartans have on Gaians.

However, there is a way to get one of the factions infiltrator info on the Spartans, which is capturing a number of Hive bases to the point that it drops significantly, and two teams vote for the third team then which will hopefully convey info on an ask-and-ye-shall-know base.
