With Yang having built quite a number of Aerospace complexes, the drop unit would only help to garrison captured bases or with a drop probe to mind control a yang base.
But I am not in favour of tech or unit exchange with Spartans.
And yes we may have to speed up our 'invasion of Yang plans.'
btw with our two foil probes we can steal Chaos and Doc: Ini from Yang and if the probes survive, maybe even mind control a base or two.

I would give S nothing so that their military might is further reduced by Yang then if we help S.
Their is helping and their is cutting your own throat.
As far as the war I would start making stratigic air strikes on Yang while our units move into place.

I would also not be willing to give Spartans that ability. No wonder choppers are not that good if you cannot attack bases.
So we need a rufasal letter, something so much sweet that they could not feel like an actual rejection.

Maybe hint at a divide in dealing with Spartans following loss of two Drop Probes and loss of PE to them?

I have just checked the cost of:
Drop scout, 1^-1-1, 2 rows (16 minerals)
Drop-A-scout, 1^-<1>-1, 2 rows (16 minerals)
We can then ask Gaians to upgrade it to:
Clean-drop-scout, 1^-1-1, clean
and drop it back to our territory and turn over the control.
As Geo suggested, working on scouts here is cheap and faster. I am going to ask this Gaians, but finally:
We give Gaians:
drop+AAA
drop only
Where do we stand?
----------------
And to clear some things, I just checked if I could airdrop a unit into a pactmate base with air complex. Yes. no problems detected. I even simulated multiplayer game here. We can build aircomplexes alright

I know, but we would transfer to them 2 abilities for their 1. Gaians have nothing for exchange at the moment. So would go 1 ability for 1 ability. They probably will not have very hard feelings about it. We can always transfer AAA in the future. Maybe even trade AMA.
Unless you think giving AAA in advance would aid their effort in fighting Yang. He does not have tacticals so far, but after being attacked that may changed. Any oppinions?

we could give it to them no charge, as they are the weakest human faction it apears(?) to help ensure they survive S but i would wait to see what yall think

I think you bring, Forester, many good points as to why give AAA to Gaians now. Any base with AAA plasma and air complex, and we know Yang is building them, have around 12 on defense against air units. So any base taken by Gaians with air complex intact would be good for having AAA.
If we are going to be in a strong political agreement with Gaians, their couple of more AAA units against Spartan air forces might be good. After all, they will more compete for Hive bases there, since they are in vicinity more than us.
We might directly inquire Gaians, if they would be willing in the future return the favor, since we would be giving 2 abilities and receiving 1. Plus future better relations, what in long run may count significantly more. Imagine Spartans attack Gaians soon, Gaians might feel we did not help them enough sooner. We are attacked by Spartans, then Gaians would be more willing to help, if they received something from us before (this AAA now). I do not consider Gaians to be treacherous very soon towards us. Spartan military threatens us both. And there lurk Morganities out there, with their potential, they are still extremely powerful.
Any more thoughts?

I also thought of another possibility. After getting PSA we will be able to choose:
1) Fusion
2) Orbital Spaceflight
How about combining research with Gaians? They do one of these techs and we do the other? We might arrange it, like providing Gaians with what they need to choose one of them. With the rate around 10 turns/tech we might have both Fusion and Orbital before like 2200.

I can go with that.
But still be mindful of Spartan Plan Data ability.
Anyway, so we get on the path towards Fusion and feed them same pre reqs but they choose Orb. Space.
Ok it is doable.
Just one thing. Gaians have made a sizable jump in the charts. And Gaians (under BinT and Chaos and using ICS) is a formidable outfit. Oh and especially with clean ability.

I realize that. Still the best ally for us I think. Unles we go for cooperation with Spartans. But they never consider Pact with us, while Gaians are pacted for many years now.
We might go similar strategy too. Raising land and making mineral-energy parks there is a good way to go I think. I have seen Kryssia Krusader (in CGN) doing that stuff - incredible results.
I noticed how Gaians after popboom raised in the power. They have much better economy now than ours.
