as an outsider, I agree with Choke. They can hurt themselves if they want.

Sort of like the US and the League of Nations: it still went on even though the US wasn't a member.

The council wouldn't be nearly as effective without Brittain and Spain though. I could accept a council without them but I think we ought to do more to bring them in first...

The League failed because the US wasn't a member, should we really start up an orgnization that is bound to fail as well? The alliance system we have right now kind of makes the whole idea unworkable right now anyways

As H Tower says, the alliance system at the moment really kinda makes this idea mute. I mean will Italy vote for anything that Britain proposes?

In fact looking at the votes etc it would appear that the Med League would have the good ol' democratic alliance at a disadvantage, kinda like the EU has Britain at a disadvantage now.

So Britain will be prepared to join, but only with the power of a VETO

Also, say that Italy brings to the table something like a certain amount of money from the trades goes to the person recieving the trade. But Britain wouldnt stand for this and not being part of the council would not have to abide by the decision. Its a flawed idea.

Then Britain doesn't get to trade with council members. Besides, if you don't want to join, you don't get a say whether the council is formed or not...if Britain wants to shut itself out of European affairs, and take it's b-tch Spain with it, who cares?

What I was saying regarding trade tarriffs was that a decision could be taken on it, currently people have very different philosophies on this. With this thing we could settle once and for all if we are to have tariffs or free trade (currently as far as I know atleast Brittain and Germany wants to abolish tarrifs, I am undecided and I think my two allies wants to keep them).

Also where did you get the idea that the med league would get an advantage when voting?

First I did state that 2/3s majority was required didn't I?
This is supposed to act as a veto of sorts, i'm open to suggestions on increasing the required amount of votes.

Second, the democratic alliance is constituted by Germany+Brittain+Spain, in what world does the Demo league have fewer cities than Turkey+Italy+Jugoslavia?

Again I am for a council for all of europe, otherwise it won't be able to do a thing.

The idea of this council is not for it to be a weapon but for it to be a good way to decide on things like international treaties and such.

Just as a question but how would you stop Britain trading with you? I mean most of my trades would be from the Sea and thus you couldnt block them, and if you sank them then it would be war, so please tell me how you assume to stop me trading with anyone

How will you block the ports? You dont have enough ships to put them in the three spaces that you need to make sure that i cant get through.

How can i not enforce my will when my Med Fleet just happens to be more powerful than the Entire Med Leagues fleet put together. And quite a few of those ships happen to be near your shores, although they are in my waters. And also you do know that Battleships can attack ground targets.

Also we would like to make Brittain aware that not all of her battleships are on Brittish waters, that is not to say that they are in italian waters either so we are happy

They are in international waters, and thus be certain we have their every movement pinned on our european maps...

Sorry for my lack of comment but long story short, Germany will not join any council that does not include ALL nations in Europe. If Spain and Britain are adamant, then it will not be created (or if Choke has his way, it will be created with nothing but Med League nations; I'm sure that would be effective ).
