yes I know fix for this...
open that marla map with civ3editor and find place where are all civilizations... Then take german. Now you see city names. click the Berlin and you see that there is one extra space push (I dont know how explain it better) after Berlin, delete it. Every german city has this extra space push so you have to delete it for every city. If you dont understand this take france and look the end of first city then look back german end of first city. Now you see there no extra space push in france cities...
everybody get the point?

hi ,
Marla's map , well , one could write a couple harddisk's about it , ......
size , well someone is currently redoing it a bit , using the 49 square's on the bottom (or top) and making europe a bit bigger , same for jap's and a couple other places , so that one can play even more .
of course if some people are so "concerned" abou others working their behind's off , they could alway's start themself , ...........
afterall civ3 is about a game , and fun , not about ordering people around , because afterall , these people , who create mod's and map's do it for free , so maybe a little bit of respect and credit should go to these people , .............
last but not least , most people on this site have some IQ of at least 3 , 1; they have a comp and an outline , 2; they hve "heard" about civ , any number and last but not least 3 ; they found their way to apolyton
as for the rest , i would tend to say that Vonotar is in charge of the map , because one way or an other Marla seems to be gone for now , and what ever reason that is , i believe that it is not evenours to ask even , why ? , that is ones good right
have a nice day

I'm wondering, is Marla, or anyone for that matter, thinking of modifying the earth map once the C3 expansion comes out, to account for the 8 new civs and MP support? 'cause I love this map, used with CPT, but I'd rather have the 8 new civs than the map (no offence meant). This likely wont be, though, as with 8 new civs the map would probably need to be quite a bit bigger to support them all, and not squish everyone into 3 colonies each.
BTW, I feel rude for having not said it already , but Great map, Marla. I love the detail and accuracy, and the CPT support as well. You must have put a lot of effort into this map. Thank you!

I'm sure every-one has noticed this. What to do about it though is another, more difficult, question.

Akoaz--I made a personal edit of it which assigns the correct start locations, eliminating the need for Gramphos's MultiTool to do this each time you start a new game, plus one or two other little rule tweaks which I can't offhand remember. I haven't had time to play that much since 1.29f was released, but I plan on wiping my calendar for a little test run of it this week. (As full as my calendar was this week. ) I'll post results if I get a chance, along with personal rule changes. I have played enough not to encounter any strange crashes...at least before the end of the ancient era.
As far as its size, I know it's one of the big bruisers, and it may well be the largest map out there. Most likely in the top two. To my knowledge, the size hasn't changed since it came out, but I could well be wrong. It's not that much different, if the size was in fact changed.
EDIT: My rule changes were not really rule changes. I just diddled around with the names of the Great Leaders...I couldn't have a game without knowing Patton was out there somewhere, potentially ready to kill me off.
