Untitled, by Andrew AKA MrFun
The night is late but sleep refuses to come to you. You just got too many issues to deal with lately. Or maybe it’s a secret about yourself that you just do not want to face.
You come home every night—the time that your own kids are scared of you, and when your wife cries in despair. How many drinks did you have this time?
Get rid of your fear and look in the mirror.
You have thought about suicide many times before—your mind is on this extreme roller coaster ride. One of your true friends who cares about you, tells you that you need to get some real help. Are you going to deny your problem until it’s too late?
Get rid of your fear and look in the mirror.
You have always been told that it’s wrong to live like a faggot—so you think you have to keep lying to your true self. But why not accept a part of who you really are?
Get rid of your fear and look in the mirror.
You’re desperate for friends in the new city, so you hang out with those who use you for your money, your car, or whatever. They laugh behind your back. Isn’t it time to stay away from them?
Get rid of your fear and look in the mirror.
You’re a young adult on a career path that your parents insist you pursue. You have never been so bored in your life—whatever motivation you have for other things, is being stifled. What is your true passion?
Get rid of your fear and look in the mirror.
You always tell your girlfriend that you love her while you’re ****ing around behind her back. You use her and take her for a fool, when it’s just that she believes in you and trusts you. How sincere are you with that kind of bullshit?
Get rid of your fear and look in the mirror.
You’re a divorced parent of two kids and you spoil them rotten whenever your visitation rights allow you to spend time with them. But you refuse to share responsibility for them. What kind of love could be based on material gifts?
Get rid of your fear and look in the mirror.
You always tell others that you’re not a bigot when it comes to gays—you just want to ignore them. Then you say the queer who was killed yesterday brought it onto himself. How much longer can you think like a bigot before you do something you regret?
Get rid of your fear and look in the mirror.
All of your friends are wrong when they tell you that you have an explosive temper. One day in an intense argument, you throw a chair at one of your friends. What would have happened to him if you did not miss?
Get rid of your fear and look in the mirror.
What is your secret that you’re lying about? Whatever it is, tonight, even sleep itself is too ashamed of you to come to you.
You want sleep?
Get rid of your fear and look in the mirror.
