I guess the keeper had reason to miss that little shot, with his knee banged up and all. Either way, here's to Korea - even with the loss, you've done well

Spain all the way, BEBĔ!

Two legal goals disallowed against Spain.
Too many times the lineman raised the flag without a good reason.

I didn't want to say that Korea is paying referes... but I'm really starting to think it is.
I'm really worry on how this WC is going. Spain played much better than Korea, they scored the golden goal and they scored before the game ended.
Korea did probably 5-6 shoys in all the game.

I don't like the way this WC is going.

Now I have no team to cheer for (well... maybe Senegal) but I will not watch any more a match of this WC.

Off Sides should be ignored when they are not offside....
but... Oh well.
This is not my business after all.
If any Spanish people felt like I did, they will protest.
I don't want to protest for a match that didn't even see my team playing.

And some bad calls went against Korea, too. If people can't play the game without blaming the referee, they should stop playing. Wait, that would eliminate most of Europe! LOL!

I mean, my God. Even the French know how to get on an airplane and go home without all these lame excuses.

To all the whining Southern Europeans who seem to think they have an inalienable right to be in the final: you don't. Even if decisioons go against you, you should carry on regardless. Arsenal did so against Liverpool in December and that helped them to win the Double. Brazil did it against England.

The Korean players are not cheating, or at least not more than your own players, and the Korean players are (this is important) the ones who score the goals.

Sure, don't watch the World Cup anymore. I'm sure that FIFA will be so disappointed that bitter losers aren't watching.

I have no team to cheer for, really, so I'm looking for more exciting matches .

Yin, it seems to be mainly Southern Europeans: Italians, Portuguese, and Spaniards. I didn't see the Irish, the Poles, the Swedes, the Danes, the English, the French, the Russians, the Slovenians, the Belgians, or the Croatians complaining about the referees as much.

No, the countries that have had the biggest issues about referees are Italy, Spain, and Portgual. That is not racism, it is fact.

Even the FIFA never said the referees were correct in their decisions which are under discussion. They always excused it as "human errors". And given the fact that one wrongly allowed/disallowed goal can change the match completely (and far more than +/-1 in the final result), there are way too many of them. One or two over the entire chamionship is ok, but not one in every other game. With that many human errors, you'll have either to change the referees or the rules of the game.

Do you suppose that humans should not make any mistakes?

Maybe, maybe not. Paraguay (or was it Uraguay?) was down by three then came back to tie. You can never predict how one of these mistakes will affect the game.

How? Most often it's not goals (dis)allowed per se, but for other things. Besides, how do you correct for a mistake? It's not like Handmelon where everybody lines up for a replay. You just can't get the same situation again.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Damn this hurts. All of my favorites are out. Argentina by bad luck, Italy by being cheated severely and Spain by more bad luck and also being cheated. We made a goal that was clear and it was disallowed.

I am very furious about this, extremely pissed off... this plot to wipe out all of the good teams. This must of been planned much earlier. Korea lost fair and square. And they allow those fools to continue to the next round? FIFA should get a royal ass-kicking.

Of course they should not, but they do. It's about the frequency and the influence of the mistakes I was talking about.

A perfect reason to try to get rid of them, as much as possible.

As far as it is a fault only of the referees, better qualified referees. For the rules: Given the size of the pitch, and the distances to run, one or two more people in black wouldn't be bad.

Spain should have played much better, so that it's victory didn't depend on a lamer referee....But then again, there is no question that the referee in this WC have been increasingly poor and indecent.

I say we get rid of referees all together, and handle everything by computer cameras and whatnot....

YES IT DID DEPEND ON THE REFEREE. WE WERE PLAYING GOOD.... WE MADE TWO CLEAR GOALS. Not one but TWO. Both were disallowed.

Hey, that is a good idea... set up a computer which can look it at the facts with some unbiased people to make sure the computers aren't messing up. And in American football the referees look at the replays a half dozen times... maybe that would be a good model?

And Marcus, shut up you have no right to put on that stupid face. You know this world cup has been fixed from the beginning. And I got evidence to prove it along with everybody else watching the game Spain and Italy played in.
