quote:
Samiel, is this question meant for me? If in fact it was, I wasn't making a statement about WWII. Nor was it a statment about how German and Russian deaths were much higher than other countries. It was a comparison about how the memorial for the war took 56 years to begin construction while the 9/11 memorial seems to be going much quicker

I know this i live in a land that have today problems how 60 years ago.I live in the Area of East Germany and i see the predujis(or so) EVERY Day, than that you cannot know West Germany laughing over us, we have high rate of Workness in my land. This mean i too. But you can't build this in Civ then in civ weren' in a second Worldwar. You can't build this. Okay you try to build a modern world but you must think about the fact that you could try create a better world without Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Franko, and many more. If you've lost the WW2 the you would say the same(maby on German). But I love my land! And you love yours, too.I hope you can understand me. Peace for all people they died in every War in the whole story of the world, This can be a tribut. Never War on and because my land Deutschland.

In regards to my post regarding Chinese expansionism, I'm just going with what makes sense to me. I mean, eventually nukes might be rendered obsolete, and then full-scale ground war and such would be possible again without having to worry about somebody blowing your cities all to hell.
I mean, pretty much every kind of weapon we - and by "we" I mean humanity in general - have ever created has become completely obsolete and outdated at one time or another. In certain fields, new discoveries are made weekly, and some even faster.
In our fast-paced world, one of these days someone is going to find something that could utterly replace nuclear weapons. Either it would be a weapon designed to destroy nukes or render them harmless (think the Nanite Defuser in CTP and CTP2) or something that could do the job without all the radioactive fallout. The former, I believe, is more likely.
We've made better and better means to counteract bio-weapons and gas weapons. It makes sense to me that we could someday outdate nukes.
Keep in mind that this is just my opinion. And I hope dearly that someday we won't have to worry about nuclear weapons, but then I realize that we're bound to find something much worse.

There are EMP (electromagnetic pulse) weapons in the works. They are non-lethal, but have the ability to disable or severely damage every machine with electronic and computer components.
