	Regional Administrators : the thread Increase Your PM Length

OK, since I'm the only one running for Domestic Minister, I have fair chances to be elected , so I guess I should get to work right now.

I won't be able to show the same dedication as E_T did, and I will be unable to manage all our cities of our huge country by myself. I am in dire need of assistance, and I ran because I knew many of you want to help the DM.
Since we didn't decide yet if Regional Administrators (RAs) should be elected or appointed, I will appoint them as my aides.
RAs will be responsible for city planning in their regions as well as worker orders. If regionally managed workers prove unpracticable, I'll look for a deputy specialized in public works nationwide.


Here are my requests :

1. If you're interested in being a RA / aide to the Domestic Minister in any way, please say so.
2. If you can provide me with a map of the provinces, please do so. I didn't find the latest provincial maps.
3. If you can post a comprehensive and complete report on the situation of one/several cities, you'd be more than welcome.

I was going to make the regional maps, according to E_T's old "regional administrators" thread long ago...but then again, Ghengis is MUCH better at such things than I....

are the regions staying the same or being rewritten? alot has happened since then...

And I'd be interested in either the Public Works deputy job, or a regional administrative job if it's taken already.

(I;m doubting my chances against E_T in the SMC election, so this is probably the way to go. I'd almost rather do one of the above than SMC, but don't tell the voters that... Dammit, I just did!!! oh well)

I would be interested in a RA position. I have even done it before. I was a RA for three terms. I would to do this again. I would perfer Piña Colada, as that was where I was before (that would be Upper Apolyton), but wherever you can fit me in is great.

Well, I think that just about covers Apolyton. Dejon's regions are going to have to be cut up at this point. Nice contrast to last term.

I'm happy pretty much anywhere, as long as it isn't Uber Island. I don't like the sea that much.

Bad news :
I will have no or very little internet time this weekend (starting Friday until Monday). I will still have Civ3, to study the situation, but cannot make it in a turnchat if we hold any.

Lets just hope that nobody who really wants to be an official RA or Governor get screwed into administrating any small, backwater areas of our country....
...although this has happened before in real life so I'd probably expect the same here....

Spiffor should draw names out of a hat or something. Or appoint based on first come first serve....

(which in that case I'd be first, muwahaha)

THis is a very good point and needs to be addressed, not for just this City, but for all of the new Regions. So, on that note....

Domestic Ministries Executive Order #1 (tenitive):
The Redistricting of the Provences will have the following restriction - Cities that have tiles that overlap with another city will be part of the same district/provence.

I don't really know. I do know that you need to have some way of dealing with that.

If you have a City that has overlaps with 2, maybe 3 provence cities, how do you decide the allocation of those Resources? Who gets them and when?

If they are all in the same Provence, you only have the one person to deal with that issue. That's why my order is tenitive, to address that and make sure that things run smoothly, before it's too late.
