	The Official Players Needed Thread. READ THIS!!! Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

At CFC SunTzu had the good idea of having a single stickied thread (here) where all open PBEM slots would be announced. This way new players or anyone else interested would have one place to go to, not to mention there won't be single threads clogging the forum.

General guidelines for the thread:

- In your post, request that interested players post on the game threads and not here, so that this doesn't go off topic.

- If you're here looking for a game and choose one of the slots announced, post on the game threads and not here, for the same reason.

- If you're here and looking for a game, remember that it will be updated regularly and you should come more than once.

- When a position is filled, edit your announcement post to say that it has been, or at least empty it.

- If you announce a new opening and have posted here before, post by editing your old post rather than making a new one, so that we don't have the thread clogged with two dozen 'position filled' posts like the CFC one is.

Current slots, updated recently:

- A player is needed for India and the Chin in the Mongols PBEM.

- A player is needed for NATO in the Raging Dragon PBEM.

- A player is needed for Spain in the 30 Years' War PBEM.

- A player is needed for Germany in the Gigamap 2194 Days of War Official PBEM.

- A player is needed for the British Empire in 2194 Days of War Gigamap #1.

- A player is needed for China in the Fictional Americas PBEM.

- A player is needed for the Ottoman Empire in the Age of War PBEM at CFC.

- A player is needed for France in the Another Imperialism 1870 PBEM at CFC.

- Players are needed for the Federation and the Borg in the Battle for Alpha Quadrant PBEM at CFC.

- Players are needed for Russia and Britain in the Age of War PBEM at CFC.

- A player is needed for Holland in the Rape of Nations PBEM at CDG.

Also, in that same period a replacement will be needed for the Muslim player in The World Today Official Playtest

Don't crucify me if this is bad - I saw no other place to do it.

There seem to be a lot of scenario games happening, but what about a classic game of the original rules? I'm looking for a start to my Civ2 MPing, with only SP experience as far as King and much Democracy game experience to call upon. Anything like that ever happens here?

There is a "vanilla" civ game game at Historic Battles, thats the only one I know of. Seems like most of the crowd here prefers scenarios. (Like me)

Heres the link, if you want to do a vanilla civ game you can jump in this one as the English. We have only played about 5 or 6 turns and Im looking to cut down my PBEM load.
