The Italian Civil War is over.

The Communist forces, thanks to the help of Polish, Greek and Russian forces have captured the last Democratic stronghold in Sicily.

When this was done talkings between the Royals and the Communists were ongoing, and as such the Royals accepted to peacefully hand over their territories, with the excpetion of Switzerland which will be left independent, and the royals are now granted the right to freely live in Italy, and end their exile.

During the war it is calculated that almost one milion people perished and the Italian economy suffered a lot as a consequence to that.

After all this, Austria too was granted independence by the Communist.

To Italy: You have no right to grant independence to Polish Territory, they may negotiate with us if they wish, but as it stands right now, Polish forces are still maintaining control over the area.

Poland forces are now helping to rebuild the italian penninsula, giving Italy a LOAN which may be paid back over 40 years after we rebuild.

The suspicious change in government in the Americas is forcing Poland to maintain troops on the mainland United States, as a randomly changing government is a liability to Communism. All American military buildup will be viewed as a threat until we can assess the true intentions of the USSA.

In order to help the French, Poland has begun invasions in central America, approximately 30% of Southern Mexico to the Panama Canal is now under Polish Control.

Polish scientists begin work on the development of aircraft which will be far superior to the Arrow, they have found plans of Stealth Technology in the United States, and are basing some of their designs upon that technology. 6 Scientific laboratories have been put into competition for the best prototype. There should be a prototype in a year, and testing should be finished in 3 years, leaving production to begin in 4 years, and the upgrading of the air force in 6 years.

Secret to China, Russia, Italy, and Canada: There's something fishy going on in the Middle East, be prepared to take a chunk.

French Forces in South America are on the move. Many are moving into the Rebel Repubilc in order to fight the rebels and take back that land. The rebels did not have good weapons, so it was easy to fight them and take back the land. Other forces are moving into areas controlled by the Central American Empire, such as Chile and Bolivia, among others. French forces will move north and west throughout South America and meet up with Polish forces.

To Poland(secret): Since we both are currently fighting the Central American Empire, why don't we totally eliminate them and spilt up their land? We propose the following proposal: You would get all of the Central American Empire land in Central America (Mexico to Panama) and of their Carribbean Islands. We would get all of their possessions in South America. (see picture)

Germany - Diplomacy:

To France: We will be glad to participate in this project. Scientists from our own space program will be arriving in your country to help with the project soon.

To India (top secret): We think that the communists are beginning to get suspicious about our preparations for operations in the Middle East. We may need to speed our plans up somewhat, but we will also be slowed down by the fact that we were unable to acquire bases in Italy. Perhaps it would be best if we manipulated the local governments into inviting us in, then had them overthrown without seeming to be directly involved. We coudlt hen impose our own rule on the area under the pretext of restoring order and safeguarding the world's oil supplies.

Germany - Domestic Policy:

The German government is greatly the amount of the budget that goes to the miltiary and it's private contractors, in order to devleop more advanced weapons. The missile industry is recieving particular attention, and Germany is currently working (in secret) on the world's first ABM project.results are expected in 10-15 years.

Germany - Production:

The German military buildup to the maximum levels permitted by the Belrin Accords (OOC: the peace treaty we signed with the Warsaw Pact /OOC) is being accelerated; it should be entirely complete within 3 years.

German scientists are now working on their own stealth tehcnology program, courtesy of a scientist who worked on the American program and emigrated to Germany to escape the communists.

Germany - Espionage (secret):

German intelligence agents in Iraq are extending their operations and setting up networks of contacts and recruiting more agents for later use. Iraq will be extensively infiltrated within 2 years. Evidence has been fabricated so that if anyone is caught, the operation will appear to be a Persian plot.

The Persian and Iraqi governments, apparently in a jointly planned operation, have seized all the land belonging to India and Germany that is within their boundaries. They have offered no compensation and there has been no response from the Indian embassies in either country, leading the Indian government to believe that the embassies must have been stormed. Added to this is the increasing Persian and Iraqi military buildups, specifically on the borders with India, and we can only conclude that they are planning an offensive action against us. As the Persians and Iraqis have completely cut off all diplomatic channels, there is no way for us to negotiate or otherwise contact the government to find out their intentions. We therefore have no choice but to declare war on the governments of Iraq and Persia in order to reclaim the land that was rightfully purchased and then stolen, rescue foreign citizens trapped in these countries, disarm these agressive and clearly belligerent regimes, and free their citizens from the horribel conditions and opression they are suffering from. The Indian military, in order to accomplish this task, has finally completed its upgrade, with the stats now standing at Navy-Medium, Army-Large, Airforce-Large. A defensive line has been set up in the Pakistani mountains to guard against an assault from Afghanistan, the terrain means that actually very forces need be committed to accomplish effective defense. Meanwhile, the bulk of the Indian military is pushing into Persia, specifically from the south. There is a fair number of Persian troops that the Indian army is fighting against, but air support, which regularly defeats anything the Persians can throw up in the air (thankyou Messershmidt ) is keeping Persian supply lines disrupted and reinforcements from moving in, so steady advances are being made with only moderate Indian casualties. Meanwhile, the Indian navy is clearing the meager enemy ship forces out of the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman. So far engagements in general turn out in favor of the Indians, but sea dominance has not yet been established. Even though the war is slowing the Indian economy somewhat, India has no problem fielding adequate numbers of troops, and regular rotation of fresh troops ensures that casualties stay small.

We're sorry to do this without warning you, but these moronic actions of the Iraqis and Persians was just the precedant we needed, far too good to pass up. And we were genuinely concerned about their buildup. But no matter now. Join us, we're sure there won't be any significant problems, even if it is a little earlier than you expected.

In response to current World events the government has started a millitary build up. The Amry will be increased from Large to Huge in 3 years time. Goal is for 40 million troops in the army.

The Chinese millitary is also placed on high alert and moved near the Middle East and India. ALso China's two super carriers have been moved to the region as well.

ooc: grumble. I was hoping Germany would be the first to see my post. nichevo. About your military; 40 million, even for a communist nation as large as yours, would be pretty difficult to achieve. I'd say that is more a number for an imperial or super-imperial rating than merely huge.


India to China:

we assure, the people of Iraq and Persia will be taken care of. Hell, we might even make the region socialist. We invite you to help the people that are opressed by the Persian government to lead prosperous lives, perhaps you could step in and 'instill order' in Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. A successful operation on our part would also mean we could offer extremely reasonable prices for oil, to the benefit of the proletariat, of course.

To India (top secret): While we would have preferred that thios occur at a later time, no matter. We have the troops to crush the Iraqis and Persians, and we still have a few contacts in teh Iraqi government that may prove useful. We are deploying our troops to invade Iraq from the east, and our planes are bombing Baghdad as we send this.

To World: Germany, in response to this blatant assault on it's rights and interests in the Middle East, is joining India in declaring war on Iraq (EDIT) and Persia. We will depose the fundamentalist governments of Iraq and Persia, and ensure that the rights and interests of all nations in Middle East are respected. The current regimes have demonstrated that they cannot be trusted with total power over two thirds of the world's oil supply.

Germany - Military Action:

German aircraft have begun long-range bombing runs over Baghdad, destroying a number of important government buildings. A large German fleet, carrying approximately 100 000 German troops, sails through the Straits of Gibraltar and across the Medditeranean, brushing aside the resistance of teh pathetic Iraqi navy. German paratroopers, supported by the air force, have seized Beirut and the surrounding areas, and are preparing it for the arrival of the German main force. Bribery and threats to a few officials in the Iraqi government has ensured that any attempts to respond will be significantly bogged down.

EDIT: found 'em. Chinese population in 1966 was ~745 million; remove the effects of the Great Leap Forward, and you get about 770 million. Add Indochina, Indonesia, etc, and you probly around 1-1.1 billion people.

Germany - Military Actions:

The German main force has landed in and occupied Beirut, and then moved out into the surrounding area. The local troops have been totally overwhelmed, and a German mechanized division is heading south for Jeruslam, where there have been unconfirmed reports of violence between Arabs and Jews.

Meanwhile, German B-52 bombers are being rebased into Beirut and are preparing to launch airstrikes against targets across the Middle East. Germany and India have gained uncontested air superiority over the region, and in many areas Iraqi and Persian units are dissolving without firing a shot.Germany is moving more troops into the Med for an invasion of Turkey, which is threatening to revolt against the government in Baghdad.

The Mediterranean Communist Confederation of People have formed.

Italian and Greek ministers met together today as to discuss the terms of the union which will merge together the nationc of Italy and Greece.

After hours of talkings and discussions the two countries agreed in adopting a Marxist form of communism, with elections for the new President once every five years, and as for the time being the new government have been formed by having the former Italian president, being the President of the Mediterranean Confederation as well, while the former Greek president, Kostas Stephanoupulos, being the new Domestic Minister.

The administrative capital have been placed in Athens, while the senate and the supreme court have been placed in Rome, and as such the new Confederation will be runned by two capitals both being equally important.

Last but not least, the Greek and Italian military have joined together forming a very strong force in the Mediterranean.

TO USSA:
We suport your enter into Warsaw pact. Also Polland seems not to trust you and entill there is a formal peace treaty I think they wish to keep troops in Florida, but China is sure that we can get them out peacefully.

To USSA, and Warsaw nations(secret):
The Chinese government allong with Polland believes that is some sort of plan by Germany and India to seize most of the middle east for them selves. We must make sure that we have an equal share in the world's oil supplies since we consume more all then they would ever in a life time. China is watching events as they unfold and urge all Warsaw nations to place their millitary on high alert and be prepared to act if it is neccessary. If the flow of oil out of middle east is not undistribed then we will not act, but if we feel we are being cut off we will acted to protect the nations of Warsaw and USSA.
