Foreign minister:
Only mighty. We'll have to overtake our foes.
5 turns/tech. Uggh.
Tax rate 20/40/40
Looks like we're celebrating.
*looks at cities*
No we're not.
Drop luxuries to 20%.
Matterhorn still pissed.
Send all the lazy workers to tax collecting school.
Let's xin everywhere!
Tech drops to four techs/turn.
Raise science to 50%.
Tech drops to three techs/turn.
61 gold/turn. Much better.
What do we need most, Infrastructure or wonders?
What about MPE?
Infrastructure?
I think we need temples, aqueducts to continue to WLtD. Therefore, we should build infrastructure first, then wonders.
What science do we lack?
*Checks Romans*
Romans:
Astronomy,Bridge Building,Polytheism,
University,Gunpowder,Seafaring,Iron Working,...
Okay, so we are stupid gits.
Perhaps some diplomatic *negotiations* are in order.
Rename Middleton - Matterhorn
Mickey- Main Street
Mouse- Tiki City
Looks like everything's in order.
*cautiously hits enter*
560 AD
Aztecs land with 1 Elephant on Forest, near Fantasia.

Open negotiations, they demand Engineering.
I refuse, we go to war.
Aztecs are currently supreme.
I want tech, and they won't give us any since we are
weak and backwards. Let's take them down a peg!
Navigation acquired by Greeks, from French
Economics(!) acquired by Rome.
Purchase temple in Matterhorn, should be fine for discontent next turn. Lots of red faces in our empire. Where is our faithful Michaelangelo?
Find Mycenae north of Pharsalos. Size 3. Tired camels beg for water.
We need to modernise our pitiful Democracy!
Trade Democracy with Rome and Engineering for
Gunpowder and Navigation.
That's two more techs.
Spank Aztec Elephant with Vet Horsie in Fantasia.
Romans activate alliance with Aztecs!

Techs up to 4turns/tech due to trading.
Get Seafaring, start research on physics.
(hope to trade for techs.)
AD 580
Greeks almost finished Leo's.
Meet with Romans:
Sign peace treaty. So much for coming to aid their allies.
Meet with Greeks,
Sign peace treaty, trade for philosophy, polytheism.
prerequisites for Mike's Chapel.
Meet with Aztecs, pay 100 gold tribute.
Sign peace treaty, trade for Economics, mathematics.
We now have caught up with the AI in modern techs, except for Bridge Building, and university.

Unfortunately, we had to pay cash to placate the Aztecs. We are still in want of infrastructure, as well as
16 caravans for Mikes/Adam Smith.
Matterhorn stabilises.
Techs down to 8 turns/tech.
We need to find our key civ.
Down to Strong.
Build CaribbeanPirate near Greeks.
AD 600
temples in Tomorrowland, SpaceMountain, SteamboatWilly.
DisneyChina ends celebrations. Begins to xin.
Going to upgrade our boat and shift discontent to Main
Street.
AD 620
Build ThunderMountain on Whale site with island.
SpaceMountain celebrates.
Need 126 gold for Aqueduct in MagicKingdom.
Once this is built, then we will return to WLtD.
Raise tax 10%.
AD 640
NeverNeverLand builds Caraval for intercontinental trade.
Trireme upgrade in progress.
20/40/40 tax rates to encourage celebrations.
Currently have 11/16 caravans under construction.
AD 660
Upgrade complete.
Celebrations in 6 cities, including the twin size 8's.

Dissidents in Fantasia shipped to our friendly neighbouring Aztecs.
AD 680
Plan to end Celebrations, pop at 2.4 million
Would continue, but we need some irrigation.
Change tax rates to 50/30/20
Build Temple in Anaheim, should WLtD next turn
Begin Roman trade expedition.
AD 700
Anti-globalisation revolt crushed after caraval embarks.
I forgot the Hanging Gardens happiness boost comes before the unhappiness due to units outside the city.
That's a wrap folks.
We are at peace with everyone.
We're just about to discover another tech.
2.54 million people in the empire.
We are Supreme!

I mean that the champion of ' robust constructive criticism' is some kind of crime fighter in civ (and perhaps you know he teaches also in RL).

I forgot to mention that the glorious city of Free Willy has been destroyed by myself (providing 2 settlers) in order to make room for the future growth of Magic Kingdom.
Here's the save

SG(2):
Robust constructive criticism? This is not bad at all.
Normally in an OCC game you are ahead of your enemies in tech. Being so far behind in this game, all white techs we own become even more valuable, in that we can trade for what we need with every nation on the board.
6 techs for Democracy and Engineering is not too bad.
Had we given the Aztecs Engineering, they would have only demanded Democracy.
Edit:
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, La Fayette?

of less than all that I see

First look:
we have 49 gold, 3 caravans, 1 marketplace and 2 harbors (2 aquaducts, 13 temples, 1 colosseum)
researching Astronomy. We're mighty, so keying off of a democratic greek civ that we are at war with
Wonders: HG, LH, Shakes. Wonders lost: Colossus, Leonardo's (Delhi), Copes (Beijing)
target wonder: Ikes (need astronomy, University). Also high on list is Magnetism for happy people - wee need iron working (and warrior code if we can't get iron working from the AI)
Caravans: Fantasia (food), Matterhorn (food), Space Mountain (Salt, demanded by 2 aztec cities and Orlando)
we have 8 trade routes, only 1 city with more than 1
We've only met 3 of the 6 AI, peace with Aztecs, Ceace fire with Romans, War with Greeks
We have a Greek elephant at our doorstep of Caribbean Pirate - Greeks were allied before, no reason to believe they aren't now, so will likely be starting a new round of hostilities by defending ourselves.
City Thoughts:
We really need libraries and marketplaces to get the ball rolling.
Main street isn't gaining anything from the elvis, since its going to grow next turn. Fantasia is not benefiting from elvis either, as the city has just grown
President SCG proposes a New Deal, whereby we will build marketplaces and libraries so that every household will have the money to put a chicken in every pot, and the knowledge on how to cook it without Salmonella Prosperity is just around the corner! 1
cut science to raise taxes. As it is with science at 40%, we are at 10 turns/tech (780 beakers). Since Copes has already been built, there isn't quite the rush for it now and we really need the libraries(science) and marketplaces (growth). Gold will also help in speeding the camels
880: Goes to work on the cities - removes worker in Anaheim to keep it celebrating after it grows. Removes workers from CP to keep happy without horseman in town. Various foreman activities and rush harbor in Donald Duck.
Kill Greek Elephant outside CaribbeanPirate, Greeks activate alliance with Romans and Aztecs. Horseman barely survives and not vet.
900: various tickling of caravans
920: more tickling, no gold, contact enemies at war - peace with Romans with Medicine, Aztecs decide war is only option, Peace with Greeks for Medicine
940: Library in Magic Kingdom, more tickling, foreman work
960: someone discovers Magnetism, cancels our Lighthouse , Chinese start Adam Smith's, more tickling and foreman work, marketplace in Anaheim
980: Temple in CaribbeanPirate, celebrations commence, Aztecs arrive outside Space Mountain, Caravel takes them for a ride, Greeks and Romans follow through with their obligations again... o well, at least we have a musketeer and horseman in CP this time, Salt to Xochicalco (120), more tickling and work
1000: Aztecs have units on the land mass south of Space Mountain, more tickling and building
1020: Temple in Tiki City
Final thoughts: leaving some of the final decisions of the turn to [1]. With 20% lux, i was able to get all size 3 cities to celebrate, most to 5. with Marketplaces, those cities can celebrate to 7, and with trade routes, we can start looking to aquaducts. There are 3 caravans sentried in Tomorrowland, 2 of which can get on the Magic Kingdom caraval, and 3 more sentried in DisneyChina - I was thinking about building a caravel there but wound up starting the library. We really do need magnetism, but felt we needed infrastructure more. Granted, I only built 7 structures in 8 turns, mainly because i had to finish so many camels first. We're short on transportation for some of them, but do have about 7 lined up for international deliveries. Only structure I'm second-guessing right now is the bank (48 shields so far) in Magic Kingdom, even though caravans would have likely had to be local deliveries. Also debating the usefulness of the temporary peace with the Romans and Greeks, given that we don't have the techs to end a war with the Aztecs. On the plus side, we're back up to Supreme, starting from Mighty
Anyway, passing the Torch to [1]
1: quietly ignores the fact he is mixing FDR and Hoover references
