The explorers returned to the Royal Palace in Jonnyopolis, the newly built capital of Texas, located where the Rio Grande enters the Gulf of Mexico, and named after their great leader Jonny. The scouts that went north had the best news:
"My Lord, we have explored along the coast, and found very fertile river deltas, rivers that are called by the natives there the Mississippi and Alabama rivers. Most of the tribes along the coast pleged their allegance to us after we showed them our bronze weaponry and our fine trade goods. We then explored further north along the Mississippi, and found another empire; they call themselves Wisconsin. They then told us of the other 2 nations of the continent, Rome and Oregon. They have advanced weapons made of something called iron. They wish to start trade with us and sign a peace treaty with us."
The explorers that went West then spoke:
"We found the end of the Rio Grande, in a mountain range the locals call the Rockies. We also found some of the iron the Wisconsin people make their weapons out of, we should expand up there to mine the iron. We also ran across an aggressive native tribe named the Navajo; they might pose a threat to our settlement."
The third group of explorers then spoke:
"We explored south. The coast continues on into a land called Mexico. It's nothing too special, although we should settle there."

Texas Orders
Expand east along the Gulf of Mexico coast. Send some of the army to protect them from natives.
Expand south along the Gulf of Mexico coast. Send some of the army to protect them from natives.
Expand west into the mountains and start mining iron. Send a good portion of the army to protect these settlers from the Navajo and other natives.
Leave some of the army at home, of course!

After being rudely regected by the King of Egypt the Ethiopian Ambassadors have returned to Aksum. But this journey has also shown us the metal called iron and it's toughness in battle. As a result King Eon has began to make and stockpile weapons made of Iron. Also Seeing the eygptian Ships designed for war we have made rough improvements to our ships. As our Semaphore Stations and road Links have begun to be finished we will continue to expand. Another Thing our ambassadors saw was the temples to religion and the Housing for the King in Egypt. Some people have begun talking and have aggreed that our King needs a grand Palace.

The new Emperor, who was much less silly than the last, sat upon his Imperial Bunch-Of-Silk-Pillows. Perhaps other rulers rode into battle and slept on dirt, but that would not do. He would listen to his advisors in comfort. Also in safety, with the Emperor's Guard to keep him safe. The Emperor's Guard swore an oath of absolute fealty to the Emperor, and their only goal in life was to protect the Emperor. They were not allowed to marry or drink, and they were the elite of the elite in fighting skills.

Roman Labrador Legions landed in Druid Greenland in a surprising attack. The Druids were quite taken aback, but vow to retake the real estate.
The Azores began to form under a great leader, Fredrique del Isle. He however suffered from a hugh epiphany and decided instead to become a Grand Council member. He happily serves the Druid Empire, which he now referrs to as the 'Motherland'.
Reinforcements have arrived in Iceland from the home islands and the other councils in the Empire.
Poland sent Hussairs to help save the island. They and the reinfocements will reach the front lines next turn.

We are pleased to report that we have captured significant Druid land in Greenland, and our legions are ready for more. Rome has also established Fort Byzantium on the Eastern coast of Greenland, where we can receive ships and load troops. Rome WILL destroy the Druid nation.
Rome is interested in gaining the support of the native peoples of Greenland. We need their towns for supplies, forts, and labor. As of now they have been relatively un aligned. Rome is offering FULL citizenship, defense, tax breaks, and partial autonomy to any town who joins the TRUE cause.
Wisconsin (secret): May our MPP and friendship only grow stronger with time. Can we count on you for an extra 2,500 troops to be deployed in special ops raids? We promise to arm and pay for all troops you can provide.
Brazil: Normally Rome absorbs weaker nations who admire the Empire. But in your case we can make an exception. If you conquer a coastal strip of land in the north, and give it to Rome, we will give you a MPP and technology.

King Eon has passed into the next world in his sleep. As his life was fading he demanded that his people load him on his boat with the things that made his reign last. The first thing loaded on was a Bronze Spear. Next was a flat rock taken from one of the many road beds. After that a Iron Sword was place in his hands. Finally a Sheild Of gold symbolizing the wealth and glory of his Empire was added. After the ship was put to sea a Lone Arrow lit on fire Began his Pire. His Heir King Eon II has declared that all Kings of Ethopia will be put to rest in such a fashion. Amid the Celebration of the Great King's Life a bandit raid on two border towns was attempted. Not Many prisoners were taking but those who were claimed to be from the Empire of the Congo. The Prisoners have been sent back to the Congo without there Manhood. In Order to prevent this from happening our men have been ordered to Expand to the West and Fortify the area. Civilians will follow after ten years and colonize that area at which time the troops will be moved on leaving a garrison intact.

I Bring Greeting from King Eon II and also a warning. In the celebration of our former king's life two of our villages were savagely attacked by the empire of the Congo. While both villages managed a sucessful defence despite the inebriated state of the majority of the garrison and also managed to capture some prisoners. These 'men' have been sent back to their empire with a warning not to trifle with our nation. If Conflict does between them and us becomes a possibility will you stand with us?
