yes. we can add spearmen to the upgrade list (spear to Pike). this will help a lot against the attacking charriots. I can't wait to camture the first GS city.

"Greetings Togas. I hope you don't mind me writing you directly, but Vox is interested in a response to our recent letter regarding Spain's involvement in the war.

We are making arrangements with GoW to land and accumulate troops on our side of the border, thus being able to better co-ordinate our moves. Their involvement is still limited by the number of galleys available to them - plus of course - the somewhat of a 'stand-off' situation on the continent. If you were to throw your support militarily behind the Estonian war, it would go a long way to cementing future relations, and easing GoW's concerns of continental pressures.

Also, I think it goes without saying that none of us want to see GS come out of this victorious. Vox is totally committed to this war, but we are up against a tough opponent, with a stronger economy, and the advantage of defence. Hence our urgings for you to get involved. As we have mentioned previously, we are getting support either directly or indirectly from other nations. And support from you now will be reciprocated in the future.

So - is everyone OK with sending our world map to them. Or do we want further commitments in terms of timing and numbers? I say don't push our luck.

If RP and GoW want to side with GS in this - we are toast. And I really don't think that is what eithe GoW or RP want.

Send them the map.

The only safe way from RP to get galleys is to take the route up the coast of Bob and down our west coast. If they are willing to risk a galley or two on the sea they can get across much quicker. See this: http://apolyton.net/upload/files/Ha...ey_Crossing.jpg

RP could move empty galleys into the sea where the question marks are. Other galleys would be adjacent in the coast tiles with troops. On the next turn they transfer troops from the coast galleys to any galleys that survived on the sea then the sea galleys make it all the way across to the GS coast. They risk the galleys but not troops. I don't know if the odds of a galley sinking are based on difficulty level. I doubt it. Firaxis didn't seem to make those kinds of differences in the game.

Neat idea Harry...But I don't believe you can move troops from one boat to another. I've tried to do this in past games and it never was able to work.

I do it all the time. You need to wake up the transported units by right click then move them. Just like you can move troops from a land tile to a boat on the coast.

yes thanks God the Almighty we all have survived these events. Here we had no Eclipse, but instead a great great Crimson-Red Storm, wich affected each one in a different manner; thanks god most of us are still alive.
I come here bearing a sugestion: That a great , new tech deal be made between our nations; this would work like this: If one of our nations buys a tech, the other would send half of the money and then the nation who got it would send it for free. An example might explain this better :
Vox gets to a deal for tech1 with (insertnationhere) at the price of 400gold:Roleplay sends 200 gold, and when Vox gets the tech it sends it to roleplay.
El Rey Justino Togas believes that this will put both of our nations on the top of the list of the most advanced nations of the world. I think we have an agreement to buy Fuedalism from GoW fro 75 gold. Is that true? That would mean RP pays half. I wonder if they also have an agreement for Fuedalism. This agreement may need a clause to not apply to Fuedalism if we both already have deals pending.

The note about the galleys means they are shipping them the long route since they are not using extra galleys to risk the short crossing. Any idea where they plan on landing?

I had a long chat with Nuclear Winter and BigFree of RP, with Togas in at the end. It was essentially war planning. They are committed. And keen.

I think I got them talked into abandoning any fancy landing plans - and getting themselves killed like GoW. They will likely be stockpiling troops on fish mountain - sw of Diis'ville. They like your ferry plan Harry. No one had thought of a method yet.

We also talked a bit of trade - about GoW, NeuD, and world politics. They are committed to this. i sent them a screenshot showing the ocean between the two continents, and the front as far as Arashi. I also took athe liberty of showing them one of the remainder of the battle area. Figured there was not much to lose.

We are suggesting a council of war tomorrow sometme. They are tracking down MasterZen and donegeal, and we should have a couple there too as well. Anybody free tomorrow evening - exact time still unknown.
