Actually, they have 4 OT victories, that took a combined 10 overtime periods to decide. Amazing. They should now be favoured to beat Dallas - no more of this underdog stuff.

Yeah.. next 2 games in their home arena.. I wouldn't be surprised if they get the next 2 in a row! They seem to be so hot right now, everything is possible.

Would be nice to have Lehtinen and Kapanen to our team in WC games too .

I had 2 favourites to advance to finals.. Dallas and Detroit.. going to be interesting.

Ugly win for the Flyers. Outshot outplayed in every respect except that Roman decided he was going to single handedly beat Ottowa tonight.

1-1 for the Fly boys.

Yeah, the Ducks have some great players and the team could go pretty far, but to have the "Mighty Ducks" inscribed on the holy grail is too damn sacrilegous.

Gotta wait until they take out the Stars before actively rooting against them, though . Just to see someone besides Dallas/Detroit/Colorado in the Cup final, it'll be worth it.

And the Ducks do have some guys who've been around the block long enough that they deserve a Cup by now: Adam Oates, Steve Thomas, even Paul Kariya. Yeah, the team name & logo suck ass, but those guys are class acts

I agree that the Ducks are deserving, but so are the Nucks.

If they would just play an entire game with the intensity they showed in the final five minutes of the last two games, it would hard to not see them in the final.

I'm still rooting for a Vancouver-Ottawa final. I know Bettman would cry himself to sleep if it happened, but Canadians are getting tired of watching American based teams win year after year - just give us this one all Northern final - and we'll keep quiet for years - I promise!

It's nice to see so many Canadians in one thread - go figure - it's a hockey thread.

I'm kinda new to OT - been in the Civ3 forums for the last several months.

Dan may not have enough playoff experience for some, but he's okay by me. You can't blame him for bad giveaways by Sopel or poor coverage by Naslund.

I'd love to see the Canucks go to the finals, but realistically Coultier doesn't have what it takes to do it and that will be the downfall of the Canucks.

I don't know. He had some big games against St. Louis.
Two bad games in a row, make him overdue for a huge game.

If he tightens up, the Canucks will cruise past Minnesota. They can't keep being outshot 34 to 18 every game and hope to keep winning.

Got spare money?

Anyone who doesn't think Cloutier can get hot and stay hot should refer to the Canucks' records in the month of November and February.

Tingkai:

I'm along Eglinton, between Spadina and Bathurst. I don't know the all "area" names yet. I think Forest Hill is south of me - lots of posh homes.

Since I work from home, I haven't seen alot of the city yet. I have been to the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Zoo, and the EX. I hope to explore more this summer.

Cool. Closer to PG or PR? I went tree-planting during my university years (SFU) up close to Houston, BC.

Actually in PG.

Sure miss the North sometimes.

When did you go treeplanting? I used to do that for the summers between school.

Let's see...started university in '91...must have been summers of '92 and '93.

Made lots of money, got in great shape, p*ssed off the locals in Houston bars - a grand time!

I saw Jurassic Park for the first time in a (the?) Prince George movie theatre.

Sure, the Canucks won every game in February, but out of nine games, six were against loser teams like Atlanta, Columbus, Calgary, Buffalo and Chicago.

Maybe he will get hot at some point in the playoffs, but he's not a top 10 goalie and he's not in the zone right now like Giguere or Turco.

Don't get me wrong. I hope Cloutier goes on a hot streak and the Canucks take home the Cup.

We did, having 5 days in the bush and coming to town on the 6th day.

Giguere is definitely hot, Turco - not as much.

But if Irbe can take Carolina to the finals, I see no reason why Cloutier can't take Vancouver.
